While details are missing at the moment in regards to why the studio decided to shift the release date of some of its films but several reports suggest that the delay in the production of studios certain films has a major factor to play.

"We are currently working on 31 projects, don’t add 4 more, please," Victoria Alonso, Marvel Studios President of Physical and Post Production said prior to the change in the release date of studios various films when asked by 221 radio if the Marvel Studio is developing 35 projects.

Alonso went on to say that the studio wants the audience to feel connected to every movie, its characters, and storyline. "It is a question about how are we handling multiple plates in the air at the same time," Alonso continued, "and the biggest thing is that sometimes the plates fall, and, you know, what are you going to do then? We want people to understand that the idea that we have, to tell these connected stories, it is important that the world knows that the characters we create, their stories have to do with how humans interact with each other," she added.

While the studio is all set to release the upcoming superhero epic The Eternals, starring Salma Hayek in the role of Ajak, Angelina Jolie in the role of Thena, Brian Tyree Henry in the role of Phastos, Richard Madden in the role of Ikaris, Gemma Chan in the role of Sersi, Lauren Ridloff in the role of Makkari, Lia McHugh in the role of Sprite, Kumail Nanjiani in the role of Kingo, Barry Keoghan in the role of Druig, Don Lee in the role of Gilgamesh, Kit Harrington in the role of Dane Whitman, on 5th November 2021, Nate Moore the film producer while speaking with Screen Rant in 2020, revealed how the studio never meant to make trilogies and how it was something that naturally happened over time. "Even in Phase 1, I would argue did not think 'Oh, we're definitely going to do three films and then be done,' So again, as Kevin would say, 'let's put all the great ideas in this film and then see if people like it.' So we don't necessarily have a trilogy planned out, it's not something that is a must-have."

"Obviously, we hope people love the movie and obviously we have ideas just as fans where we could go, but there isn't a hard and fast rule of like we got to have three of these things and this is the first."
