Paul Wesley and Ines de Ramon have called it quits.
Paul Wesley’s representative has confirmed that the Vampire Diaries actor Paul Wesley and wife and jewelry professional Ines de Ramon have decided to separate after being married for three years.
The representative shared that the couple had been living apart for several months and their decision to go their ways was mutual and occurred almost five months ago. The couple requested privacy during a difficult time.
The rumors of Paul Wesley and Ines de Ramon splitting up started to circulate after Paul Wesley was spotted at an event for Brothers Bond Bourbon in New York in August without his wedding ring. Paul Wesley was later spotted without his ring once again in September at the Bourbon and Beyond Music Festival. The Vampire Diaries actor was also spotted hanging out with model Natalie Kuckenburg in New York.
The former couple were initially linked in 2018 when they were spotted in New York holding hands after a romantic dinner date, and in July, the actor made their relationship official by posting a picture of the couple alongside Nina Dobrev and Jessica Szohr from a wedding in tony Montauk.
As reported, Paul Wesley and Ines de Ramon secretly got married, and Ines confirmed the news by sharing a throwback picture of their wedding on their anniversary. Paul Wesley also confirmed in February 2019 that the pair got married in secret as their pictures surfaced all over the internet with them wearing their wedding rings. In addition, Nina Dobrev also referred to Ines de Ramon as Paul Wesley’s wife during podcast interviews.
Nina Dobrev said at the time that they all hung out a lot and everyone was friends, adding that she loves his wife and mentioning that it’s funny how time changes everything because she never thought that Paul Wesley would be one of her best friends. While speaking to People magazine for their Sexiest Man Alive issue, Paul Wesley shared that he feels fortunate to be in a position where he was able to take a break during the pandemic and was quarantined with his wife and their dog, Greg.
The actor added that the break was important for him and stated that for him, the pandemic was the time when he reset, recalibrated, and kind of realized what was important to him and reprimed his life.
Paul's marriage to Ines was not his first. He previously married to Pretty Little Liars actress and former fashion model Torrey DeVitto in 2011. Their separation occurred in July 2013, and their divorce was granted in December of the same year. They have opted to terminate their relationship amicably, according to a source at the time, and will still be close friends.
After Torrey DeVitto, Paul Wesley dated former co-star Phoebe Tonkin, and the two of them were spotted on a double date with Ben McKenzie and Shelley Hennig. When Phoebe Tonkin was sighted without the golden Cartier promise ring that Paul Wesley had given her, the US magazine verified that the couple had ended their relationship. The insider at the time claimed that Paul and Phoebe were completely passionate throughout the date and that they appeared to be in love.
