The Sun apologizes and retracts Jeremy Clarkson's sexist and misogynistic column about Meghan Markle.

Personality in the media Jeremy Clarkson recently wrote a column about Meghan Markle for The Sun in which he stated that he hated her on a cellular level. The editorial was branded as blatantly sexist and was subsequently retracted from the publishing company's website and archives.

Jeremy Clarkson referenced a famous Game of Thrones scene in his article, writing that at night, he struggles to sleep as he lies there, trying to grind his teeth and fantasizing about the day when she is decided to make to march through the streets naked of every town in Britain whereas crowds chant "Shame!" and throw lumps of excreta at her. The Duchess of Sussex is regarded here. He went on to say that everybody else his age feels the same way but what makes him sad is that younger generations, especially girls, think she's kinda awesome. They believe she was a Buckingham Palace captive, forced to speak about only needlework and small animals.

In a statement, The Sun expressed its sincere remorse for publishing a column written by Jeremy Clarkson. They clearly stated that in response to Jeremy Clarkson's tweet, he had requested them to remove the prior week's column, and went on to say that this sparked a hostile response and a large number of inquiries to IPSO, the independent press regulator. According to Sun's statement, opinion writers' opinions are entirely their own, but as a publishing company, they fully comprehend that with personal freedom comes responsibility. They concluded that they at The Sun greatly regret and apologize for publishing this editorial.

In a tweet following the publication of the article, Jeremy Clarkson called his texts a clumsy reference to an incident from Game of Thrones, admitting that it had insulted many people. He continued by stating that he is appalled to have prompted so much pain and that he will be more extremely careful in the future.

Nicola Sturgeon, the First Minister of Scotland, whose name was also named in the editorial as someone Clarkson "hates," termed the piece "deeply misogynist." According to The Times, she mentioned that she believes that what he said about Meghan Markle was profoundly misogynist but just plain disgusting and that her extreme reaction to men like Jeremy Clarkson is upsetting. Nicola Sturgeon added that she tends to mean, what is it that makes someone so affected by blind hatred that they eventually wind up writing these things? According to her, she believes that gives insight into Jeremy Clarkson and the type of individual he is. So perhaps he needs to take a step back and think about life a little more.

Sadiq Khan, Mayor of London, took to Twitter to condemn Jeremy Clarkson, writing. He stated that, as Jeremy Clarkson is very well conscious, words have ramifications. His words are no joke; they are scary and unacceptable. They are beginning to experience an epidemic of violence against women and girls, and men with powerful voices must do better.

According to a spokesperson for the couple, the fact that the newspaper did not contact the Duchess of Sussex to apologize clearly shows their intention, and it is nothing more than a PR stunt. They went on to say that a sincere apology would have altered their coverage and standards of ethics for everyone, but they're no longer holding their breaths. The column comes after the controversies surrounding the royal couple as their Netflix documentary 'Harry and Meghan' explores the treatment of them in the royal family along with opening up about how they have been treated by the media.

In one touching moment, Meghan noted seeing a tweet that said Meghan should just die. Someone must assassinate her. Perhaps it should be them. Meghan Markle responded in the episode by saying, 'Okay.' This is what's taking place around the world as a result of people spewing hatred.

Harry and Meghan' is streaming on Netflix.
