What a great time to be a fan of Harry Potter and Timothee Chalamet!

Not many people think Slytherin to be cool, but thanks to Draco Malfoy and now Timothee Chalamet, the Green and Silver house will probably receive all the respect it is due.

Timothee Chalamet is widely known for his eccentric wear, and extraordinary takes on fashion, but not even his most genius outfit ensemble could throw the world into such a frenzy as a simple green Slytherin sweater from the Harry Potter series managed to do. But, what can we say? Harry Potter and Timothee Chalamet is actually a great combination, one worth swooning over!

The occasion presented itself as Timothee appeared for a press release for his latest sci-fi movie, Dune and led to all his fans and Potterheads losing their heads collectively. Timothee Chalamet has been seen parading his new role in the rendition of the 1984 movie Dune in quite an extensive collection of Haute couture wears along with his star cast members like Zendaya and Jason Momoa this past month.

But on this particular event, the star ditched all his high fashion looks and took on a more subtle approach for his Instagram post dedicated to his film earlier this week. While anything to do with Harry Potter or Timothee Chalamet always makes people lose their chill, it was this one hidden detail that threw the internet into a frenzy.

In a post where Timothee looks down on the camera along with Zendaya, he is seen to be wearing a green sweater, the Slytherin color, which of course, features the 'evil' houses logo. Known for its despicable nature, the most crime-inclined house of Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry definitely had to create a buzz.

The fans were quick to notice the star's allegiance, who is now to play Willy Wonka in the Warner Bro latest production adaption of Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, to the self-preserving house. Everyone soon jumped the train to relay their appreciation to the Call Me By Your Name actor. One Instagram user commented, "Timothée wearing a Slytherin jumper for no reason at all is all I needed to see today," and another declared, "OK, but can we talk about Timothée Chalamet showing up to press conferences in Slytherin merch?! The man has my heart, and also, he's regulus black reincarnated. period."

Now because not everyone can be pleased with Timothee declaring that he was a Slytherin, a few people took to appeal the declaration and announced that the actor is more of a Gryffindor or a Ravenclaw. A fan wrote: "I'm sorry, but there's no way Timothée is a Slytherin," and another added: "No way Timothée is a Slytherin, I refuse."

Additionally to this one Harry Potter shoutout, Timothee also has been previously vocal about how he related to Harry Potter and also the book's series' popularity to his movie Dune. At the Cannes Film Film, where Dune was to be debuted, Timothee had likened the popularity of 'Dune,' the 1965's novel by Frank Herbert, and the original 1984 film to the Potterhead mania for the HarryPotter series.

The actor told Deadline, "So much of our pop culture and films and books have been derived from Dune and all the philosophy in the book." Continuing about the movie, he said, "I've been shocked to learn how many people have a next-level connection to the book. I compare it to how our generation grew up with Harry Potter, and that one makes sense to me. But it's cool to see with Dune also when you actually sit down and read it."

While Timothee has revealed his love for the Potter franchise countless times, another of his Dune costars, Zendaya, is as in love with the movie-book franchise as he is. The Euphoria actress told InStyle back in a 2019 interview, "People say I'm crazy, but I watch Harry Potter, like, once a day. It's just calming to me, so that's my thing. People are like, 'Oh my god, Harry Potter again?' I say, 'Don't come over to my house if you don't want to watch it because it's going to be on."

Prior to this press conference, Timothee was seen alongside Zendaya at the London Film Festival's debut of the film. He dazzled the red carpet in a black suit that suited the film's sci-fi vibe featuring embossed silver zippers that ran along the shoulders, sides and the length of the pants. The stunning outfit was made complete with a few silver chains dangling down his neck and a chain-link ring on his finger. Zendaya, too, slayed in a white sequined column gown, tightly coiled braids, and a sci-fi princess-worthy makeup look.
