This is Us will focus on the story of Kevin, Cassidy and Nicky in Season 6; Credits: Parade

This is Us is a story of a dysfunctional group of people trying to work out a way to live with their families, or the lack thereof. 

The story is now focusing on the tale of Kevin Pearson, an actor who doesn't think too greatly of himself. He has always dreamed to live big and achieved immense success and stardom as he went on to work in TV. 

He gets to enjoy the company of various women in the TV world and that is a fact that gets to him. People look at him as someone who had no depth to him but he is here to prove them all wrong.

The series, in its recent episodes carried on with the story of the family, as the drama reached an all-time high in the trilogy series. The episodes are lined up to explore the lives of the three main characters of the show. 

The series stars Justin Hartley as Kevin, Chrissy Metz as Kate, and Sterling K. Brown as Randall. The episode "The Guitar Man" focused on Kevin, a man who has been looking to reach the best of the heights and yet feels that he has never been appreciated enough by his family. 

But he decided to fly cross country to overlook the construction of the family home with his twins. The construction is presently being carried on under the supervision of his ill-defined friend, Cassidy, played by Jennifer Morrison, who is also a War veteran from Afghanistan. 

The other person on the construction site is a war veteran from Vietnam, Nicky, played by Griffin Dunne. The episode only continues to shed light for Kevin to find himself as the uncle shares with him a lesson to learn. The events are not taken on a light term by their war veteran friend. 

The story shows Cassidy working on aligning the military vets together into a group as they work to lay a foundation for the house for Kevin. She takes immense pride in her work, and is equally happy to spend her time with her son Matty and Kevin's family. 

Yet, the horrors of the war are not leaving her and despite her peaceful days, the dark of the nights always come back to haunt her with the war memories. Overtaken by the trauma, she gets into her car, and the mixer of the traumas and exhaustion leads her to drive the car right into a pole. 

On the other hand, Kevin is also struggling with his own perceptions, but Nicky urges him to take a break from overthinking and stay for Cassidy in the hospital. He stayed for his friend in the hospital and provided her a compassionate ear when she wanted to share her story. 

Seeing all the pain she was going through, Cassidy decides to go for counseling, while Kevin tries finding other ways to help her. He is provided with an idea as he hears a speech by Mandy Moore's character Rebecca and decides to start a construction company. 

Big Three Homes is to be his construction company, which would help him realize the dreams of his late father Jack, played by Ventimiglia. 

Hence, he gets back home and decides on coming up with the ground-work to work on his father's dream. 

The actors of the series recently spoke with Entertainment Weekly, explained how much they can connect with their on-screen characters and what is happening on This Is Us lately. 

Justin Hartley started by saying that he is a little better as a guitarist than his character Kevin is on the screen. He revealed that acting and playing the guitar are two of his stronger pursuits.

Despite his shortcomings, Kevin has always tried to better his arts and got to star in the film of his father's favorite actor Sylvester Stallone film. Now that he found another way to honor his father, he can not help but grab onto the opportunity of Big Three Homes. 

Being Jack's son, he is full of ambition and purpose and started right away as he succeeded in connecting with his mother and brother. Getting to be reunited with his family has made him realize that his love life before this was always a sham he played onto himself. But with the help of the people he loves, he will make it all work again.

His idea of launching a non-profit to help people is a very admirable quality of his. Not only will he help other people, but the process will also enable him to help himself as he learns to carry on the legacy of his father.

As Jack had died at a young age, Kevin knew these were things that his father had wanted to do and could have accomplished if had lived long enough. He is making good on the opportunities that he has received in his lifetime and that has become important to him. 

The project has almost become like a child to him as he is actively funding it through the money he earned by acting. The construction company being a non-profit organization will also help him acquire money from private parties. 

Though he is all consumed by his newfound love for his family, Three Big Homes is actually not a family business for him. It is entirely his passion that he is focusing on apart from making a name for his father. On the other hand, he is also very focused on his children.

Still, all his passion will not make up for the experience that he is lacking. He knows that will need to learn more about construction and has not established himself as an expert. His honesty might help him in the long run.
