Kristin Cavallari and Stephen Colletti are reuniting.

On Tuesday, Kristin Cavallari and Stephen Colletti, who was first introduced to the world in the early 2000s when they appeared on MTV’s show, "Laguna Beach," and have recently launched a podcast titled, "Back to the Beach with Kristin and Sephen" with Dear Media,

Kristin Cavallari and Stephen Colletti, who've had an on-again, off-again relationship, are now proving that no matter what, friendship prevails, which could lead to a partnership as well. The joint venture of Kristin Cavallari and Stephen Colletti with Dear Media is going to take the audience backstage to the behind-the-scenes and some insights from the iconic show ‘Laguna Beach’. The duo is going to be re-watching the show for the first time in 18 years.

During their conversation with People, Stephen shared that he had no idea how the show was going to affect his life and added that it’s one thing to kind of go through what they went through in their little adolescent love, and high school relationship, but mentioned that they have learned a lot at that time in their lives and have taken that forward in their lives. Stephen added that when one takes that and tosses in reality shows where they knew that they were going to be on a TV show for MTV, it did not occur to them how huge it could be.

The star continued that first of all, it was edited together and the stories were then shared with an audience, but then the receptiveness of the audience mattered. Stephen said that it was a thing where they would wind up doing a few more scenes, spin-offs, and now the podcast, because it’s a unique thing to go through and one doesn’t have anybody to talk to about it.

Stephen Colletti shared with People that the cast did a little reunion before the 2020 election, kind of a get-out-to-vote rally, encouraging everybody to vote and describing that experience as a positive one. He mentioned that when Kristin and he meet up, they always end up having a good time together. Speaking of 'Back to the Beach with Kristin and Stephen,' Stephen revealed that he had been eyeing the collaboration with Dear Media for about five or six years and had even discussed it with MTV in 2018.

He revealed during the meeting that he has been wanting to get into the podcat space for a while now because it interests him, and he felt that the only interesting thing he had to say was perhaps a reflection on what he did in Laguna Beach at the time. The actor said that after his Australian press tour for his series, "Everyone Is Doing Great," was canceled, he was curious to watch some of the old stuff, which gave him the idea for the podcast.

Furthermore, the actor said that Kristin and he had a talk regarding this and she was on board with it and made sure that they were on the same page about what they wanted to do with the podcast and what it was going to be like and everything. Kristin shared that she was hesitant to say yes to co-hosting the show as she had had a lot of meetings over the years about doing a podcast and she had almost pulled the trigger a couple of times, but something in her told her not to. She further said that but then it was Laguna Beach, which seemed enticing to her, and working with Stephen had been fun and easy for her, so it seemed like the stars aligned for them.

The fact that there are only 40 episodes, according to Kristin, appeals to her since it means there will be an end to the show. She also stated that her main worry about podcasts, in general, was that they would go on indefinitely. Since it coincided with her schedule, she felt finally free to watch the program again and just have fun. She claimed that she had not done so since it first aired. The podcast, she said, has been soothing and it's simply been a terrific experience, adding that she is happy they are doing it.

According to Stephen, the podcast offers a chance for the reality program characters that they saw to go back and tell their own stories rather than having someone else do it for them. For him, it is essentially an audiobook of what took place, including the background events. Then, of course, there's what you missed, what didn't air, and he followed by saying that he finds it to be one of the most fascinating things.

The fact that the Laguna Beach podcast does not hold back at all and truly breaks everything down—from editing to them telling them precisely what to say to be put in circumstances they would never otherwise be in—is what Kristin enjoys about it, she said. The actress claimed that they truly break everything down, and she added that she believes listeners would be able to understand how a reality program is produced in-depth after listening to the podcast, unless they don't want their reality TV bubble to burst.
