Aaron Carter passed away at the age of 34.

Aaron Carter, the younger brother of Nick Carter, passed away on Saturday morning as he was found unresponsive at his Lancaster, California, home. Aaron Carter’s representative did not comment but confirmed the news of the singer’s tragic passing.

TMZ’s reports suggest that law enforcement sources informed them that a call was made at 11 a.m. to 911 and Aaron Carter was found unresponsive in the morning by house sitter in the bath tub, at his home in Lancaster California, adding that everyone is just devastated to hear the news of him passing away.

According to TMZ's report, Aaron's on-again and off-again fiancée and mother of his child, Melanie Martin told the publication that her fiancé Aaron Carter has passed away and it is going to be a journey to raise a son without a father. She said that she loved Aaron with all her heart and asked for privacy of her family as they come to terms with the loss of someone they loved greatly. Melanie added that they are still in the process of accepting this unfortunate reality and people's thoughts and prayers will be appreciated greatly.

According to various reports, Aaron and Melanie had separated one week after Melanie Martin gave birth, and she eventually filed for a restraining order against him following an alleged physical altercation. Aaron Carter revealed in September that Martin's mother had temporary guardianship of Prince due to the couple's domestic violence and drug use issues and that he was trying to enter a voluntary rehab program in order to regain custody.  He said at the time that it’s an abstinence program, and he works with an individual counselor adding that he does group therapy, parenting classes, and domestic violence classes. Aaron told The Sun publication that he got certified in CPR, just a lot of different things.

The musician’s representative said that it’s with the deepest regret that they have to inform people that Aaron Carter was found unresponsive this morning at his house. They also stated that the family has been informed and will be traveling to Los Angeles and that Aaron worked extremely hard towards the end of his life in recovery to be a great dad to Prince and to make reparations with his family. The cause of Aaron Carter’s death has not been revealed.

Aaron Carter who became famous in 1997 with his hit "Crush on You" is survived by his 11-month-old son, Prince with on-again and off-again partner Melanie Martin, along with his parents and siblings including his twin sister and brother Nick carter. On November 1, TMZ reported that Aaron Carter was pulled over by police for allegedly driving an RV erratically but was later released after passing a field sobriety test, citing law enforcement sources. Melanie Martin was driving behind him in an SUV at the time, according to the outlet.

During an appearance on The Doctors in 2019, the singer opened up about his struggles with mental health, uncovering that he suffered from multiple personality disorders, schizophrenia, anxiety, and manic depression. He later explained that he takes Xanax on the advice of a medical professional and that this is his reality, and he has nothing at all to hide.

Aaron Carter shared a cryptic tweet on social media at the same time that read that he is not perfect, but he is doing his best to grow and learn from all of his mistakes, just like everyone else in the world. Aaron wrote that he would like to apologize to anyone he has offended and stated that he is learning and developing. The singer said that he wants to tell his friends who know him that he loves them with all his heart and mentioned that he is a nice person. Aaron also mentioned that he has worked his entire life, had crazy ups and downs, and been broke on multiple occasions, so he is proud of where he is today and is doing his best to be the patriarch of his family. Being the youngest is difficult, but he enjoys it and loves his family.

Aaron had previously spoken openly about his struggles with addiction, specifically pill abuse and "huffing," on The Doctors in 2019. He said that it's something he has kept hidden from the rest of the world until now. The singer said that it started around the age of 16 and revealed that his late sister Leslie introduced him to it explaining that he didn't get into it until he was about 23, right after Dancing with the Stars and he started going to Staples and Office Depot and other places, paying cash so it wouldn't be recorded on receipts or anything, so no one could track him down. Aaron Carter said that he was huffing because he is a drug addict. Huffing is the act of inhaling fumes from products such as household cleaners, glue, or paint.

As rumors about Aaron's sobriety persisted, he sat down with ET to clear the air in 2016. He said that he likes wine and he smokes weed adding that he has anxiety issues and takes anxiety medication. The singer said that he means, that's just the way it is agreeing that there are misconceptions that he is a meth head, a crackhead, a drug addict, or this or that. Aaron insisted that he had never been addicted to the drugs in question and attributed his appearance to genetics. He said to the publication that his parents have high cheekbones and are very skinny mentioning that he doesn't want to feel like he is always having to prove himself, but people put him in these positions, and that's fine.

Aaron had to cancel several tour dates due to mental health issues. Nick Carter obtained a restraining order against him weeks after the mental health reveal, resulting in a bitter war of words between the siblings. Later, the troubled singer accused his late sister, Leslie, of raping him as a child. Angel, Aaron's twin sister, was also reportedly granted a restraining order against him.

We send our condolences to Aaron Carter's friends and family.
