Aaron Carter’s manager shared details about the late singer’s last few days.

In a recent interview with Page Six, Aaron Carter’s manager, Taylor Helgeson, shared that the singer faced a lot of cyberbullying, which is one of the reasons why he had broken down over some time.

Taylor Helgeson said that cyberbullying was like a nightmare for the late singer, and he received a lot of hate and backlash online, describing it as nonstop and relentless, which did affect him. The manager, although he previously stated that he believes that suicide was never an option for Aaron Carter, did add that his mental health was certainly affected by the hate he received online.

Aaron Carter was found unresponsive in his California home’s bathtub by house help on November 5, and it was reported that compressed air cans and pill bottles surrounded him at the time. The authorities have not yet ruled anything out or announced how the singer passed away. He was 34 years old.

Taylor Helgeson shared that he would not go too far to blame the online hate for the cause of Aaron Carter’s death, but he did mention that he had witnessed Aaron break down over a long period because of it. Taylor, who works at Big Umbrella Management, shared with the publication that Aaron Carter never chose the life he was living, adding that he does not think the late singer was given the same tools that a lot of other people have to navigate through life in a way that leaves room for them to sustain a good life.

Aaron Carter’s manager mentioned that during his last days, Aaron looked thin, extremely tired, and just looked like he needed to be doing anything but working. He was working on his new album, and even though he did not look okay physically, and mentally he was the most excited, as he was very conscious of what people wanted to see from him, and he was working for it. Taylor noted that Aaron was someone with a lot of plans, and they had so much stuff going on. He was also working on his recovery and getting his kid back.

The manager recounted that when Aaron Carter was taunted during a live show, it adversely affected him. Although he did not show it while performing live, when he got off, he was very unhappy. Taylor Helgeson goes on to say that after Aaron Carter left the venue, he went on Twitter that night to read and witness even more people talking about the show and continuing to spread their vile hatred.

He went on to say that Aaron Carter would go through and read everything people had written about him, and it would upset him a lot. Even though individuals advised him to stay off social media, he couldn't seem to keep away from it. Taylor claimed that when he volunteered to help the singer manage his social media so that he might not have to deal with the backlash or hate, Aaron Carter refused because he felt compelled to give a response to the haters, almost as if he would have something to prove to someone.

Taylor added that if there was hate, there was also love, and it was the love and support that Aaron Carter appreciated and cared deeply for, but unfortunately he would look at the other side of it and add that someone needs to say differently, stating that Aaron Carter was a wonderful person. He also shed some light on the fact that Aaron Carter felt in his last days the urge to make amends with his brother Nick Carter and other family members, revealing that the Backstreet Boys member was aware that Aaron had regrets.

The manager stated that he knew that the brothers had plans to get together, to forgive, and to be together as a family, adding that he did not know when it was supposed to happen but that was the plan. Nick Carter wrote a heartfelt tribute for his late brother, stating that even though they had a complicated relationship, his love for him never faded away, and he always held onto the hope that Aaron would somehow want to take a healthy road and eventually find the help he needed. Nick added that sometimes people want to blame someone or something for a loss they face, but the truth in this situation is that addiction and mental illness are the real villains.

It was also announced just earlier this week that Aaron Carter’s unauthorized memoir, which was about to be published, has been postponed as the co-author believes that it is for the family that is grieving that he needs to push the date, but it is assumed that the book will be out soon. When asked about the upcoming music, Taylor stated that Aaron was signed to Sony and that all releases Aaron makes must be approved by the label.
