Adam Demos talks about shooting in Australia for 'A Perfect Pairing', Sex/Life season 2, filming steamy scenes and how his girlfriend, Sarah Shahi who he met on the sets of Sex/Life reacts to them.
Adam Demos, who recently spoke to Entertainment Tonight’s Denny Directo about his new movie, "A Perfect Pairing," stars Victoria Justice, who plays a go-getter named L.A wine executive who signs on to work at an Australian sheep farm and meets Adam Demos, who plays Max in the movie and is described as a rugged and mysterious local and they connect well. Working in Australia for Adam Demos was almost like a homecoming since he grew up on a farm in Australia.
Adam said that he grew up on a farm smaller than the movie shows, but filming in Queensland was unreal since he got to see a part of Australia he had never seen before and added that the movie was shot outdoors, so everything was very surreal for the actor. Victoria Justice also added that the locations where they filmed were unreal and she had to almost pinch herself sometimes to remind herself that she was there.
The actress said that the locations were amazing and recalled that Adam and her would just show up on the set and look at each other to sort of reminding each other that they’d be filming in such beautiful locations and just being grateful. The actors said that they are super grateful for the opportunity to work in such a beautiful location. Victoria and Adam did not know each other and met on the sets of the movie, but slowly became good friends, and Victoria said that Adam is great and super talented, and she feels lucky that she got to work with him. She added that he is so rounded and willing to play.
Adam Demos, who rose to fame after he starred in Netflix’s "Sex/Life", shared the same emotion for the actress and said that when you are out there filming in such beautiful locations and everything, but what matters is who you are filming with should match up to that energy that you have and Victoria did, so all in all, it was a fun time filming in Queensland and with Victoria. He added that Victoria Justice was the most appreciated person on set and they had a great time.
Talking about good company, Adam Demos will soon be seen in Sex/Life 2 alongside his co-star and his girlfriend, Sarah Shahi, explained that there is one shirtless scene in A Perfect Pairing and he was not too shocked to know that because it’s a romantic comedy movie and it’s all a part of the job. He added during another interview that he keeps coming back to romantic comedy movies because they have such a special place in the world and they tend to make people feel good.
Adam Demos did not give away too much about the second season of Sex/Life in which he plays Brad Simon but mentioned that the audience will not be disappointed as the makers decided to take the story a level up and shared that there are some real subject matter and storylines that people can relate to. Adam credited the writing and story that worked for him, not the genre, and shared that the second season has some wild storylines which are going to impress the audience.
The actor added that he relates to such characters that have their walls up and needs some pushing to get it through or down for allowing the other person to love them. Adam says that he is super grateful for having the support of his mother and other mates and also mentioned that he is grateful that Netflix has shown immense faith in him which is something that he will always look back to and be stoked about.
On asking how Sarah Shahi feels about his steamy scenes or the shirtless scenes, he said that she is incredibly understanding and knows that it’s all part of the job and added that Sarah has been in the industry longer than him which makes it easier for them. The couple often showcase their love for each other on social media. The actor mentioned that the filming for Sex/Life 2 has recently been wrapped and the cast has some high hopes with it. Adam Demos also mentioned when asked about the nude scenes, that during the filming of Sex/Life, they'd have an intimacy coordinator with whom everyone would discuss it and their levels of comfort. Everyone would practice so much that by the time you did it, you'd be much more at ease than you'd expect. The actor explained that once you talk about everything, including hand gestures and breathing, which is an emotional thing in sex scenes, you're discussing the trip, but you're also addressing each individual's comfort level.
The creator and show runner Stacy Rukeyser shared with Digital Spy that when the show was renewed for second season they felt like their vision was given a green signal. Stacy said that the show about empowered female sexuality that has managed to impress millions of viewers across the world along with being gratifying means so much to them. Stacy says that they are excited to be inspired and continue to tell Billie's story.
