From walking the red carpet in his fuchsia-colored double-breasted suit at the London Premiere of his final movie as James Bond to playing a James Bond that is not afraid to showcase the emotions on screen, Daniel Craig has surely set standards really high for the people who look up to him.

In his recent podcast interview with Bruce Bozzi on SiriusXM’s Lunch with Bruce podcast, the 53-year-old actor revealed that he prefers going to gay bars rather than going to hetero bars. The actor mentioned during the podcast that even though he played the character of a macho man in James Bond, in real life he tries to avoid aggressive men as much as he can. Daniel says that he has been going to gay bars for the longest time to avoid, ‘the aggressive dick-swinging in hetero bars’.

Sharing his earliest memory, Daniel mentioned that he first started to go to gay bars in his youth because he wanted to avoid getting punched on a night out, which would happen ‘quite a lot straight bars. He further explained that people at gay bars were not really bothered about his presence at the bar despite him being a straight man. He said no one really asked him about his sexuality when he was out at gay bars, making them a "very safe place to be."

The actor further mentioned that a lot of women also go to gay bars compared to straight or hetero bars because they feel ‘safe there. Craig also stated that he was able to pick up women on nights out. "I could meet girls there because there are a lot of girls there for exactly the same reason I was there," Craig said, calling it an ‘ulterior motive’.

As the interview proceeded further, the duo reflected on a time when they went to a gay bar in Venice, California in 2010. Daniel explained, "We kind of got caught, I suppose, which was kind of weird, 'cause we were doing nothing f----- wrong. What happened is we were having a nice night and I kind of was talking to you about my life when my life was changing, and we got drunk, and I was like, 'Oh, f---, let's just go to a bar, come on, let's f------ go out.' We got busted for doing nothing wrong. And I just was like, 'I don't give a f---.'"

Daniel said that the moment they got ‘busted’, was when the duo was caught hugging in the parking lot of the bar, to which Bruce Bozzi added that The National Enquirer made it into the story and ‘It was a shit storm in a teacup’, added Craig. Daniel has always been comfortable bending the boundaries of his sexuality, and recently he told Stephen Colbert that he had kissed all of his leading men after his co-star Rami Malek revealed that they once had a playful smooch after rehearsal, to which Craig replied that "The thing is, it just breaks the ice."
