Filmmaker and actor George Clooney has been promoting his upcoming movie ‘The Tender Bar’ with his wife Amal Clooney by his side. The couple returned to the red carpet for the London Premiere of ‘The Tender Bar' looking absolutely ravishing.

'The Tender Bar,' starring Ben Affleck, Lily Rabe, and Christopher Lloyd, was directed and produced by George Clooney. It is an adaptation of J. R. Moehringer's 2005 memoir of the same name, and Amazon Studios will release it in a limited edition on December 17, 2021, before being streamed on Prime Video on January 7, 2022.

George recently spoke to the BBC’s Andre Marr and said that even though he’s engaged in politics, he is hoping to reduce his workload rather than increase it with a foray into running for office. The 60-year-old actor, who has four-year-old twins Ella and Alexander with wife Amal Clooney, plans to scale back his work commitments while he is still healthy and can still "play basketball and do the things I love’.

The actor said, "I turned 60 this year and I had a conversation with my wife, and we were working a lot, as we both do, and I said we have to think of these as the halcyon years. In 20 years, I will be 80 and that’s a real number. Doesn’t matter how much you work out, what you eat, you’re 80, and so I said we have to make sure we enjoy and live these years in the best possible way."

The director-producer, who has been a long-time supporter of US President Joe Biden, went on to describe America as a country that is still healing and recovering from the damage caused by former President Donald Trump. He also mentioned that President Biden is still struggling with Trump’s legacy.

"It's like taking a battered child and thinking everything's going to be okay his first day in school. There are a lot of things that have to be repaired, there's a lot of healing that has to happen, and it’s going to take time", the actor said. George Clooney hopes that Americans have a little better sense’ than to return him to the White House. This comes about the sinking poll numbers of President Joe Biden following the incident when Donald Trump publicly flirted with another White House run in 2024.

George said about the former President, "It's so funny, because he was just this knucklehead. I knew him before he was a president. He was just a guy who was chasing girls. Every time you went out, he'd be like, 'What's the name of that girl?' That's all he was."

"The idea that there's this whole group of people that they think he's the champion of — which he certainly can't stand in real life — but he's going to play this out for a while, and we'll see where we go with it as a country,"  the Academy Award winner said of Trump and his supporters.

George and Amal Clooney are no doubt some of the most gorgeous looking couples in the industry, and they have been attracting a lot of attention with their red carpet affection. In an interview with GQ last year, George spoke about how falling for Amal changed everything about his life.

"I was like, ‘I'm never getting married. I'm not going to have kids, I’m going to work, I’ve got great friends, my life is full, and I’m doing well. And I didn’t know how to unfurl it was until I met Amal. And then everything changed. And I was like, ‘Oh, actually, this has been a huge empty space.’"

Amal also spoke glowingly of falling in love with George in a 2018 interview with Vogue. "It felt like the most natural thing in the world," she said. "Before that experience, I always hoped there could be love that was overwhelming and didn’t require any weighing or decision-making."

Sharing about their ‘pandemic parenting’, the couple mentioned that it was ‘fine' since their kids are young and are not missing out much, but they feel bad for the world and everyone who had a hard time during the pandemic.
