Gerard Piqué, Shakira's former partner and former soccer player, took to social media to share a picture with his current girlfriend Clara Chia Marti, attempting to make their relationship official weeks after it was presumed that Gerard Piqué did cheat on Shakira for months with Clara.
Gerard Piqué's post with Clara Chia Marti comes merely weeks after Shakira released "BZRP Music Session #53," a diss track about the former soccer star and her dishonesty with Clara Chia Marti. Gerard Piqué did not caption the photo, instead merely sharing the image of the duo looking happy for the camera, which didn't sit well with the audience.
A user commented under his picture that they would have felt embarrassed while sharing the picture while another added that imagine trying to ruin one's family life with his wife and children because he couldn't keep his willy in his pants referring to the reports of Gerard Piqué cheating on Shakira with Clara Chia Marti for months. Another user mentioned that the woman (Clara) doesn't compare to his children's mother which is Shakira. A fourth person mentioned Shakira discovering Gerard Piqué's affair through a jam jar, writing that clearly, it's official, and the jam-eating position is free.
Days later, Show News Today claimed that Shakira first suspected Gerard Piqué of cheating when she noticed her jar of strawberry jam had been eaten while she was away. According to the site, Gerard Piqué didn't like the jam, and neither did their children, implying that it was eaten by someone else while she was away. A scene in Shakira's April 2022 music video for "Te Felicito," in which she open up the fridge to discover her associate, Rauw Alejandro's head , on a platter, brings attention to the theory of cheating and jam.

She stated that the breakup was one of the hardest and darkest times in her life and that the constant scandalous headlines surrounding their separation had turned her relationship, which was once considered sacred, into something vulgar and demeaning. She added that she is still going through it and it is challenging for her.
Those close to Shakira state that the former couple ended their relationship last April and Gerard Piqué regretted it a month later and returned home, but it didn't work out, and they decided to separate their relationship. Clara Chia Marti already existed at the time. The journalist also mentioned that the Colombian pop star, who had previously forgiven Gerard Piqué for his entanglements refrained from doing so this time because Clara wasn't yet another one. They decided to go their separate ways after being together for 11 years.
One of the lyrics in Shakira's revenge song BZRP Music Sessions #53, which she described as catharsis and release, says that she is not coming back to him, even if he cries or begs her to.
