Amanda Bynes has returned to social media after filing a request to end her nine-year conservatorship to address her situation to her fans and followers who have been waiting for a long time to hear from the retired actress.

Amanda Bynes posted a video selfie on Instagram where she told her fans that her court date is due in two weeks and thanked everyone for the love and support they have showcased since she filed a request to end her conservatorship.

Amanda Bynes’ conservatorship was put in place back in 2013 and is managed by her mother, Lynn Organ Bynes, who was initially named as a temporary conservator but in 2014 was appointed permanently. Lynn and Rick (Amanda’s father) also shared that they support the termination of the conservatorship because they would like their daughter to have control over her life back as she had put in a lot of work and effort to prove that.

Amanda Bynes, who shared back in 2020 that she was engaged to Paul Michael and is living in an apartment community which offers the an independent living environment for women who are assured and believed to transition from their current lifestyle into independent lifestyle. Her lawyer, David A. Esquibias, also expressed that she has made a lot of progress and that once the court decides to terminate her conservatorship, Amanda will be free to live her life the way she wants and how she wants.

The actress, who opened up about her involvement with substance abuse at the time, said in a cover story for Paper Magazine in 2018 that she has made mistakes in the past that she is not proud of, but she is ready to change that and make positive progress. She shared during the interview that she had been sober for four years. She spoke about her conservatorship when Britney Spears’ conservatorship case was being highlighted in the media, and later, Amanda apologized for putting her problems out on the Internet.

Amanda thanked her fans and well-wishers who have been there for her and wished nothing but the best for her life. Her fans were happy, over-whelmed, and thrilled when it was reported that she had filed for the termination of her conservatorship, and her parents truly supported her decision to be a free woman.

Amanda Bynes’ petition/request comes after the famous Britney Spears’ 13-year-long conservatorship was terminated in November, and Britney is having the time of her life right now as a free woman.
