Ricky Martin is caught up in some legal trouble. Once again.

According to the news website NotiCel, Judge Raiza Cajigas Campbell of the Court of First Instance of San Juan, Puerto Rico, has issued a restraining order against singer Ricky Martin after an alleged victim made the formal request in court. A complaint was made under Law 54, which is known as the Domestic Abuse Prevention and Intervention Act, as per the George Journal of Gender and the Law.

It has been reported that Ricky Martin’s husband, Jwan Yosef, is NOT the person who had obtained a restraining order against the singer stemming from a domestic violence allegation. At the moment, who has obtained the restraining order and under what circumstances it was requested is unclear. Ricky Martin’s representatives denied the accusations related to the alleged restraining order in a statement on Saturday.

The singer will be totally vindicated when the truth about the charges against him is disclosed, according to the statement stated by Ricky Martin's representative. The representative also added that the allegations against Ricky Martin that gave rise to the protection order are entirely false and contrived.

Axel Valencia, a police spokeswoman, told Associated Press that they have not been able to locate him and that the orders ban Ricky Martin from getting in touch with the individual who has complained against the singer. The judge will decide whether or not the order should be upheld. According to reports, the victim did not call the police and instead went directly to the court to ask for a protective order. According to Hindustan Times, Ricky Martin, whose real name is Enquire Martin, is the subject of a protection order obtained by the police under Law 54.

The order, according to a Puerto Rican newspaper, El Vocero states that the singer Ricky Martin and the other person who has obtained the restraining order dated for seven months before breaking up two months ago. However, the petitioner claims that Ricky Martin had refused to accept the fact that they had separated and has been seen lingering near his house at least three times. El Vocero cited the order as saying that the petitioner fears for his safety thus, opted to obtain a restraining order against the singer.

Ricky Martin took to his social media to share a statement that read that the protection order entered against him is based on a completely false allegation, and so he will respond through the judicial process with facts and the dignity that characterizes him." The statement continued that he cannot make a detailed statement at the time since it’s an ongoing legal matter, but he is grateful for the countless messages of solidarity and love that he has been receiving from fans across the world and added that he receives them with all his heart.

The news of the restraining order against Ricky Martin comes just a few days after his former manager Rebecca Drucker decided to sue him for $ 3 million in an unpaid commission case. She served as his manager from 2014-2018 and then again from May 2020- April 2022 and has mentioned in her lawsuit that the musician resisted paying her the millions of dollars in commissions he owed her as per their management contract on purpose.

In her lawsuit, Rebecca Drucker claims that she was the one who "saved his career and life" by assisting him with his contracts, recordings, great collaboration deals along with getting him sponsorships, and even earning millions of dollars while being on his North American tour with singer Enrique Iglesias. Rebecca also mentioned that after her return in May 2020 she dealt with Ricky Martin's personal issues including nanny who was hired to take care of his kids, his taxes and his substance abuse. The lawsuit was filed in the Central District Court of Los Angeles, California, in the United States. Ricky Martin is yet to comment on the lawsuit brought in by former manager.
