Since Vin Diesel posted his last attempt at recruiting Dwayne Johnson back for the Fast and Furious franchise, fans were hoping to see The Rock back in the franchise. And yet, the very bleak hope has now been snubbed by the actor as he said that he will not return to the series and called out the Fast and Furious veteran, Vin Diesel, for his manipulative post. He firmly stated his stand and rejected the offer after months of speculation by the fans if Hobbs will be coming back to the series.

The two actors have been in a headlong battle that has run for several years now. While Vin Diesel has continued to work on the series since the very beginning of the franchise, Johnson dropped halfway through the franchise, the reason being that the two stars could rarely get along owing to their giant egos. Only if they could have gotten along better, the two megastars would have created a duo that would be revered and admired for years to come. So, while The Rock did work on the franchise for a few years beginning in 2011, it had become quite apparent around 2017 that he would not stay on the franchise for long.

The famous feud had first become public when Johnson had taken onto Instagram to call out some of the male cast members from the franchise "candy asses." Of course, The Rock did not explicitly mention Vin Diesel in his post fans were quick to reach the decision that the post was dedicated to him. Both the actors have taken part in countless interviews since that one fated post and called out each other various times on social media and interviews. There was recently a headline that both actors have buried the hatchet and are now on friendly terms, yet it looks like their bad blood is not entirely behind them.

And yet, Diesel took the initiative to invite Johnson back to the sets of Fast and Furious and asked that he come join to make the franchise the best of all time. He layered on some emotional blows to get Johnson to agree to the franchise finale as he brought his kids and the duo's dead cast member, Paul Walker, ( Pablo ) into the conversation. The star had written, "My little brother Dwayne... the time has come. The world awaits the finale of Fast 10. As you know, my children refer to you as Uncle Dwayne in my house. There is not a holiday that goes by that they and you don't send well wishes... but the time has come."

Impressive as it might be, Johnson really is not bowled over by the public display of affection and called the entire post and its tone to be manipulative. The Red Notice star who had not responded to the public invitation for about two months now sat with CNN Entertainment for an interview where he made it crystal clear that he will not be returning for Fast and Furious 10. Rejecting the Fast Five actor's pleas, the pro wrestler shared that he has already had a talk with the former and has made his intentions clear with "firm yet cordial with words." Though the star has vowed that there is "no chance he would return," he will "always be supportive of the cast."

Here is his full dialogue on the matter as the actor shared how they privately sorted out their differences and made clear that they are on different pages. He began: "I was very surprised by Vin's recent post. This past June, when Vin and I actually connected not over social media, I told him directly - and privately - that I would not be returning to the franchise. I was firm yet cordial with my words and said that I would always be supportive of the cast and always root for the franchise to be successful, but that there was no chance I would return."

"I privately spoke with my partners at Universal as well, all of whom were very supportive as they understand the problem," said the star.

And yet, Diesel went on to write a public post referring to the actor only months after their private conversation. The Rock admitted, "Vin's recent public post was an example of his manipulation. I didn't like that he brought up his children in the post, as well as Paul Walker's death. Leave them out of it. We had spoken months ago about this and came to a clear understanding."

Dousing the hopes of countless fans forever for the return of Hobbs, Dwayne added he will never return to the series. "My goal all along was to end my amazing journey with this incredible 'Fast & Furious' franchise with gratitude and grace. It's unfortunate that this public dialogue has muddied the waters. Regardless, I'm confident in the 'Fast' universe and its ability to consistently deliver for the audience, and I truly wish my former co-stars and crew members the best of luck and success in the next chapter."
