Maisie Williams and Reuben Selby have decided to part ways. 

Maisie Williams, a Game of Thrones actress, took to her Instagram story to announce her split from her boyfriend of five years, Reuben Selby, with a mirror selfie and the caption 'the end of an era, adding that Reuben and she have decided to end their relationship.'

Maisie Williams explained that ever since she met Reuben Selby five years ago, their bond has extended deep into both their shared and separate creative careers adding that it will continue to do so in the future. She went on to say that they are grateful for the decision because it allows them to protect the magic that they can't help but emit whenever they put their brains together. Reuben shared the same story with a heart on his account. 

During a London outing in July 2019, the former couple confirmed their relationship by displaying some PDA, which included Maisie Williams licking the palm of Reuben Selby's hand. They also attended the wedding of Maisie Williams' co-stars Sophie Turner and Joe Jonas, where the actress served as one of the two maids of honor.

Maisie Williams wore a custom-made gown that her then-boyfriend helped create when she attended the Emmy Awards in September 2019. She told Elle at the time that she had asked Reuben if he could design something specifically for her as he knows her height, shape, likes, and dislikes. The actress continued that Reuben must have done around 30 sketches but they chose their favorites.

The Pistol actress continued to show her appreciation for Reuben Selby by wearing another of his designs to the Met Gala in May 2021. Maisie Williams explained her outfit on the red carpet and that it was based on The Matrix and she has got her coat on and her Matrix nails. The Game of Thrones fame actress shared that she has grown up watching these American icons, these movie heroines and it shaped the woman she became, so it seemed appropriate to honor those people tonight.

Before calling it quits, the couple kept their romance relatively private, rarely discussing it in interviews. In December 2019, Maisie Williams paid tribute to the fashion guru in a since-deleted New Year's Eve post. She wrote at the time that this was the best year yet as she fell in love with a boy and with herself and added that 2020 will most likely be filled with more days spent caring for our pot plant children, which sounds ideal to her.
