Actor Jessie Cave who is famous for playing the role of “Lavender Brown” in “Harry Potter” recently opened up about the struggle and pressure she had to deal with while playing Lavender brown because of body image pressure. Cave was selected for the role from among 7000 other people who auditioned for the role. Jessie gained weight before she started filming for “Deathly Hallows” parts 1 & 2.

Jessie gained a lot of weight right after she finished doing Harry Potter, giving the reason for her weight gain she said that she was growing up and wasn’t starving herself. It was not a pleasant experience for getting back to the shooting after gaining weight. She was horrified and felt insecure when she learned she is not fitting in the same size of jeans, she was treated differently.

It was a time when no actress was bigger than size 8 (U.S size 4) and so was Cave, she recalls that in the previous film she was no bigger than that but later she was size 12 (U.S size 8). Because of what happened, even now she feels terrified while going for a costume fitting.

On her role “Lavender Brown is conventionally pretty, no glasses, small," Cave said. Lavender develops a crush on Rupert Grint’s Ron Weasley and gets in a relationship with him. Lavender’s heart breaks when Ron reveals that he is interested in Hermione Granger.

Jessie Cave continued to getting offers and has been featured in many good ones like Grandma’s house, Black Mirror, Trolled, and even in an episode of Glue. Caves also write books and She sells illustrations on her website.
