P!nk responds to accusations of shady behavior toward Christina Aguilera.

P!nk and Christina Aguilera have publicly openly discussed their feud over the recording of "Lady Marmalade," which she co-wrote with Lil' Kim and Mya more than 20 years ago. The 2001 edition performed for Baz Luhrmann's motion picture Moulin Rouge! and was nominated for a Grammy for "Best Pop Collaboration with Vocals."

Even though the song had become ionic, it quickly sparked a feud among the divas over who would sing which parts of the song. P!nk revealed to VH1 Behind the Musical in 2009 that label executive Ron Fair walked in.

He didn't greet any of them and simply asked them what was the high part of the song adding what was the most enjoyable part and announcing that Christina Aguilera is going to take over that part to which the singer said that she decided to stand up and introducer herself to the label executive and said to him that Christina will not be taking that part, and that's what the fucking meeting is all about.

P!nk's feud with Christina Aguilera grew worse when the video was finished. P!nk stated on Watch What Happens Live With Andy Cohen in October 2017 that they had been extremely young and super fresh at the whole fame thing, adding that Christina Aguilera once tried to take a swing at her in a club and said that she believes that she is an alpha and Christina is an alpha but she is used to getting physical altercations, and she's used to possessing verbal ones. P!nk concluded that they are just very distinctive.

During a January 2019 episode of WWHL, Christina Aguilera later retracted to Andy Cohen that they got into a physical confrontation because P!nk could beat her ass and stated that she saw her Behind the Music special, and she knows that P!nk had some thoughts and emotions or concerns about how "Lady Marmalade" was documented and all that.

Christina said that P!nk frightened her a lot during in the actual video because she was heckling her in the audience behind the director, and all she could think was, "What's going on?" But that's something that happened at the time Christina said and clarified that now P!nk is a different person, she is a mom and she is cool.

P!nk on her part shared in 2017 that Christina Aguilera is incredibly talented, and she has had bad days too but Christina is a wonderful person. She also said that the two of them reconciled on The Voice explaining that she had not seen her in many, many years but now they are mature, mothers and ended up hugging each other. She said that she feels good about it.

But now, in a discussion with BuzzFeed UK, P!nk says that trying to make "Lady Marmalade" was not at all fun, noting that she focuses on fun while there was a lot of drama and some personalities. Kim and Mya were phenomenal! P!nk described "Lady Marmalade" as "iconic," but admitted that she cried while making it. She admitted that she thought it was iconic, but she cried all the time because her skin didn't really like makeup, noting that it was just... That day was full of bewildering events.

This gave viewers the impression that the singer was attempting to reignite their feud, but she later clarified on social media. P!nk said that Christina had s—t to do with who was on that song. If people cannot know that by now, she is not "shading" anyone by telling it over and over and over what happened. The singer added in her tweet that she is zero percent interested in the f—king drama noting that if they haven't noticed, she is a little busy selling albums and concert tickets. P!nk lastly added that she had kissed Christina on her mouth but she is not going to kiss her ass.

P!nk also revealed that she received some advice on the subject and has carried it with her throughout her two decades as a pop star. She said one of the best things music executive L.A. Reid ever said to her was that this music business is big enough for everyone to win at the same time. There is no such thing as competition, she stated emphatically adding that she thinks they handled it about as well as a 20-year-old girl can but now it's different and it's awesome to see girls supporting girls."

P!nk told people in 2021 that being pitted against Britney Spears and Christina Aguilera as individuals became well-known in the early aughts was "unfair to all the girls." She said she loves Britney, and she used to carry her album around adding that she is a street punk, just a skateboard and she doesn't have to be in the anti-Britney position concluding that she doesn't want to fight anyone.
