Andy Cohen is speaking out against Jennie Nguyen’s controversial social media posts.

The Real Housewives of Salt Lake City star, Jennie Nguyen’s social media posts from 2020 have resurfaced on the Internet and Andy Cohen is speaking against it. Jennie’s posts that have resurfaced are appearing to promote ‘White Lives Matter’ and fans are not happy about it.

Andy Cohen who appeared on Monday’s episode of SiriusXM show, ‘Radio Andy’ said, “The posts were very upsetting … and disgusting.” Andy decided to address the posts stating that he felt the need to speak up after Sunday’s ‘Watch What Happens Live’ episode that feature Jennie’s friend and co-star Lisa Barlow who briefly discussed the situation.

Adding further and explaining, Andy said, “People were very upset about the lack of discussion on last night’s episode relating to Jennie’s disgusting and upsetting posts, and I’ve also seen all the tweets wanting to know what’s being done about those posts. I just want to say; in case anyone doesn’t realize it, that there are many serious discussions happening right now about everything — about everything. And I can’t address the situation right now, but it will be addressed very soon, and thank you for your patience.”

One of the posts that Jennie shared in September 2020 reads, “I’m sick of people saying cops need more training. You had 18 years to teach your kids it’s wrong to loot, steal, set buildings a blaze, block traffic, laser people’s eyes, overturn cars, destroy buildings and attack citizens. Who failed who?”

Lisa Barlow also in a statement released on Twitter last week, said that ‘thing’ will get ‘addressed’ before season three of The Real Housewives of Salt Lake City. Lisa Barlow also issued a longer response condemning Jennie’s post on the ‘Watch What Happens Live’ episode and told Andy, "I'm completely anti-racist, so I hope everyone does better.” In a post she shared, she wrote, “But I definitely don't condone those. I haven't looked at Jennie's Facebook page in years. I was totally surprised."

Jennie Nguyen herself released a statement of apology on her social media called her posts ‘offensive’ and said, "I want to acknowledge and apologize for my deleted Facebook posts from 2020 that resurfaced today. At the time, I thought I was speaking out against violence, but I have since learned how offensive and hurtful my words were." The reality TV star did not acknowledge the exact post she was apologizing for but the audience was critical of the Black Lives Matter movement post which was followed by George Floyd’s death and one of the posts made a joke of running over ‘rioters’ with a car. She added to her apology that she is extremely apologetic for the pain the post has caused.

Co-star, Jen Shah dismissed Jennie’s apology and said, "Since my RHOSLC cast member has admitted that she made those horrible comments and posts, I must now stand up, on behalf of my husband and sons who are African American, to say that I am deeply offended by the racially insensitive posts and comments. It was infuriating to see her like and repost comments that made a mockery of and showed complete apathy toward those killed marching to bring awareness to the deep-seeded [sic] social injustice issues that plague our country."

Whitney Rose also issued a statement and said, "Recent events have reminded me of the importance of always leading with LOVE, light and kindness. It is NEVER ok to blatantly make, comment, post, and/or share any type of racially charged & derogatory statements/posts. Like everyone else, I was shocked and saddened at the things that have surfaced online. There is so much deep seeded [sic] discrimination and racism rooted in our country and we all need to do better and work together to make a change."

Meredith Marks also addressed the situation by sharing a quote from Martin Luther King Jr. and urged her fans and followers to use their voice to speak out against what is wrong and amplify those that are not being heard. Her statement said, "There is no room in this world for hatred. We are all human beings and deserve the same treatment of respect and dignity. Negative commentary rooted in prejudice regarding one's race, ethnicity, religion, sexuality, or gender is vile and should never be tolerated. Educate if it comes from a lack of knowledge and condemn if it comes from a place of hatred. I pray to see this world without prejudice."

Jennie Nguyen had stood up against Mary Cosby after she made a racially insensitive comment about her. Jennie said that the comments like "slanted eyes" and "yellow" skin, along with the fact that she imitated the Vietnamese-American's accent, were offensive. Mary apologized and said that she did not mean any harm but skipped the season two reunions of The Real Housewives of Salt Lake City and has not yet commented on Jennie’s controversial posts.

Fans have taken it to themselves to call out Jennie and want her to quit the show as well. One of them commented on the resurfaced post, “Oh naw naw ! Jennie from the trash needs to get FIRED !!! Point Blank Period”, while another one said, “why am I literally not shocked, Jennie gave me certain vibes IF YOU KNOW WHAT I MEAN and this confirmed that feeling for me.” Another fan commented, “Not Jennie getting exposed for being racist, anti black and anti-vaxx. Plus the blaccent and racist microagressions towards Mary AND being a trumper. Her snowflake has officially melted. #RHOSLC”

The ladies have unfollowed Jennie Nguyen on Instagram and “The Real Housewives of Salt Lake City” airs Sundays at 9 p.m. ET on Bravo.
