Speaking candidly about a health concern, Ashton Kutcher

In a recent episode of National Geographic's Running Wild With Bear Grylls, actor Ashton Kutcher discusses his extremely severe and uncommon type of vasculitis, an autoimmune disorder.

In a preview of the program, which premiered on National Geographic on Monday, presenter Bear Grylls poses the question that he has never met a powerful person who had an easy journey and asked Ashton Kutcher where does her get the strength from?

Ashton revealed that two years ago, he had a strange, extremely unusual kind of vasculitis that destroyed his eyesight, hearing, and balance. It reportedly took Ashton Kutcher a full year to rebuild everything. The actor told Bear Grylls that after battling vasculitis, his entire viewpoint changed. He said that people typically don't appreciate something until it's gone and they realize that they might not be able to see, hear, or even walk again.

Ashton Kutcher remarked that the minute one starts to see the obstacles as something that were created particularly for them and meant to fit the requirements, life starts to become joyful. He also expressed thankfulness for his life and discussed the influence of a rare autoimmune ailment on his life. Individuals start to surf on top of the problems rather than languishing beneath them.

A few months after he and his wife, actress Mila Kunis, began a large fundraising campaign to support Ukraine in its battle with Russia, the actor made an appearance on Running Wild with Bear Grylls. Millions were contributed by the former cast members of That 70s Show to Mila's native Ukraine, and Volodymyr Zelenskyy, the president of that country, commended the two for their efforts. The president said that Ukraine is grateful for their support and he was impressed by their tenacity and that the world is inspired by them.

This is the first time Ashton Kutcher has discussed his struggle with vasculitis in public. When questioned about Ashton Kutcher's hospitalization during his preparation to play Steve Jobs in the 2013 film Jobs, his wife, Mila Kunis, made news last year. She explained that he was so stupid. It was so foolish that he only ever consumed grapes at one time, the actress revealed on Hot Ones in October 2021. The actress revealed that Ashton Kutcher had pancreatitis and ended up in the hospital twice!

The Mayo Clinic describes vasculitis as an unusual autoimmune condition that can result in blood vessel inflammation and decreased blood flow. Although vasculitis can have many different forms, the majority harm at least one organ. On Monday, Ashton Kutcher took to his Twitter to share that before there were a bunch of rumors, chatter, or whatever, he wanted to say that yes, he had a rare vasculitis episode three years ago and had some impairments in hearing, vision, and balance issues after that. Ashton noted that he has recovered fully and that everything’s all good now.

National Geographic will show Ashton Kutcher's episode of Running Wild with Bear Grylls on Monday night. A new component has been added to this season of "Running Wild with Bear Grylls: The Challenge." In addition to being challenged cognitively and physically, Bear's guests will also need to demonstrate their ability to persevere under duress. Each visitor will learn a crucial set of abilities from Bear, which they will then need to perfect and use as their exit strategy from the woods in a stressful situation.
