Rihanna and A$AP Rocky are expecting!
The singer and fashion mogul, Rihanna was captured alongside rapper and beau A$AP Rocky in New York where she debuted her baby bump. Rihanna wore a long pink jacket which was unbuttoned to showcase her baby bump and the singer accessorized her look with a long Christian Lacroix necklace with a large statement Cross pendant along with a Chanel chain belt. A$AP Rocky was seen donning a Carhartt jacket and vinyl pants.
A source shared with Us Weekly, “A$AP Rocky is obsessed with Rihanna and feels he has never loved her more than when she’s pregnant. They’re both very excited to be parents.” According to previous reports, Rihanna had been vocal about her desire to be a mother and start her own family and now she is feeling thrilled as she finally gets to be a mother soon.
Rihanna’s father Ronald Fenty is also very excited after the news of his daughter's expecting came out. Ronald said in an interview with Page Six, “I’m so happy that I jumped for joy. I’m still so excited. Rihanna always said that she wanted children, she loves kids. She always takes care of her cousins’ kids…she’s going to be a good mom.” Talking about A$AP, Ronald said that he found him a ‘very cool guy’ and added, “I like him. I just got the news from her last night, and she sent me some photos. I’m just over the moon. She’s beautiful inside and out.”

The couple's love story dates back to 2012 when A$AP Rocky featured in one of Rihanna’s single ‘Cockiness’, and later in 2013 joined Rihanna’s Diamonds World Tour and opened the tour. Rihanna also starred in A$AP Rocky’s video ‘Fashion Killa’. In 2017, Rihanna started seeing Toyota heir and a billionaire from Saudi Arabia, Hassan Jameel while A$AP was linked to Kendall Jenner. But in 2018, the two friends attended the Louis Vuitton show at Paris Fashion Week.
In September 2018, A$AP Rocky debuted at the fourth annual Diamond Ball hosted by Rihanna. The event’s funds support Clara Lionel Foundation and he was once again seen at the annual Diamond Ball in 2019. The two friends walked the red carpet at the British Fashion Awards in London in December 2019 where RiRi wore a mint-green satin dress by Fenty and A$AP Rocky also wore a black suit by Fenty. Soon in January 2020, the rumors of Rihanna and Hassan breaking up started to swirl and it was confirmed by a source that stated, "Their lives were too different and it was hard to maintain a relationship."
As soon as Rihanna’s breakup rumors came out, she was linked to A$AP Rocky and fans stated that they the spark between them. A source told to The Sun, "They shared a hotel suite during that trip in New York. However, Rihanna is reluctant to put a label on it as it's so soon after Hassan. They really enjoying each other's company and taking things easy as it's still early days." An insider also added to the information, "It's really casual between them and she's not thinking about whether there's a future with Rocky. She's a newly-single girl having fun." But another source close to the singer shared with E! News that Rihanna is single and has been hanging out with A$AP Rocky but not dating him. The source stated, "She just got out of a long intense relationship with Hassan. She wants to be single and isn't going to jump into something. She's hanging out with A$AP Rocky, but she is not dating him."
In 2020 August, the two collaborated for ‘Fenty Skin’ and shot a video for Vogue and GQ and by the end of 2020, the two of them became an item as they were spotted by a lot of paparazzi. A source revealed to People, "They've been inseparable the past few weeks. It's a new relationship, but they both seem very into it." According to reports, A$AP Rocky joined Rihanna and her family in Barbados for Christmas. A source shared with Entertainment Tonight, "They've known each other for so long as friends and in a work setting, which makes it so easy for them to get along, travel together and be involved in each other’s lives to the full extent. They always have such a good time together and seem in love."
In his interview with GQ in May 2021, A$AP admitted his feelings for Rihanna and called her ‘my lady’ and ‘the love of my life'. The rapper seemed smitten by RiRi. (Can you blame him?) In her interview, the rapper shared that his image of being a ladies’ man was something he was over now and shared how it feels like to be in a relationship, "So much better when you got the One. She amounts to probably, like, a million of the other ones. I think when you know, you know. She's the One." The two appeared on the red carpet of MET GALA 2021 looking gorgeous.

Rihanna shared during her interview with British Vogue in 2020 about her plans of starting a family and said, “I feel like society makes me want to feel like, ‘Oh, you got it wrong,’” At that time, the singer was willing to be a single mom and further added, “They diminish you as a mother if there’s not a dad in your kids’ lives. But the only thing that matters is happiness. That’s the only healthy relationship between a parent and a child. That’s the only thing that can raise a child truly, is love.”
