Kris Jenner is stepping in for her daughter Khloé Kardashian amid the Tristan Thompson paternity drama.
Tristan Thompson started 2022 by publicly apologizing to Khloé Kardashian for fathering a child with Maralee Nichols. It was also reported that Maralee Nichols is suing Tristan Thompson for child support and pregnancy-related fees.
Now, according to reports, Tristan Thompson has tried once again to weasel his way back into Khloé Kardashian’s life and heart but this time it’s via Kris Jenner but his attempts have gone wasted as Kris is done with Tristan’s way of treating Khloé Kardashian and she is taking charge.
A source close to the family said, “Kris does not want to hear Tristan’s empty apology. She has listened to Khloe cry one too many times over Tristan and she does not care what he has to say.” After Tristan Thompson publicly apologized to Khloé Kardashian, he reached out to Kris and apologized for causing so much pain and trouble to Khloé Kardashian. Source added, “Tristan understands the close bond Khloe and Kris have. He believes that if he ever has a chance at getting back in Khloe’s good graces then he’ll need to have the support from her family, too.”
It was reported a few days ago that Khloé is struggling with everything with what is happening with Tristan and is disappointed with the fact that her relationship with Tristan does not seem to improve at all and just goes haywire. A source close to the family shared with People, "She's leaning heavily on Kris all of the time. But Kris wants Khloé and Tristan to be in a good place so she's encouraging Khloé to keep the lines of communication open. Khloé wanted the fairytale life with him and she's so upset. People around her have never seen her so down and are so thankful she has her mother there who has barely left her side." Kris Jenner only wants the two of them to have open communication for the sake of her grandaughter True.
But now, the reports have mentioned, “To Kris, Tristan is nothing but the father of her granddaughter. There was a point when she thought that he was going to be a part of her family, but that point is past. Kris never wants anyone in her family, let alone her daughters, to hurt the way that Tristan has hurt Khloe.” Tristan is trying to make his way back into Khloe’s life before Valentine’s Day and the reason is, “He anticipates that he might get traded from his team and might be farther away from Khloe and True for the next few months. Tristan is looking to make things right and is looking for Khloe and the family to forgive him yet again.”

Tristan Thompson took to his social media earlier this year to apologize to Khloe and said, "Today, paternity test results reveal that I fathered a child with Maralee Nichols. I take full responsibility for my actions. Now that paternity has been established I look forward to amicably raising our son. I sincerely apologize to everyone I've hurt or disappointed throughout this ordeal both publicly and privately. Khloé, you don't deserve this. You don't deserve the heartache and humiliation I have caused you. You don't deserve the way I have treated you over the years. My actions certainly have not lined up with the way I view you. I have the utmost respect and love for you. Regardless of what you may think. Again, I am so incredibly sorry."
Khloe decided not to comment on any of the controversies but according to reports wants 2022 to be a year that is different and full of happiness for her, True, and her family. The source lastly added, "But her family knows that she will meet the right guy when she is ready. It's hard for her family when she is upset. They love her so much. Khloé is such a strong person though. She has already moved on after finding out that Tristan was expecting another baby."
