Wendy Williams is getting the help she needs.

According to reports, Wendy Williams has checked into a wellness facility to focus on her health and focus on healing her overall health. A press release was recently shared by her publicist Shawn Zanotti, that said that the talk show host is taking some time to focus on her health and wellness as she prepares for her upcoming podcast show, "The Wendy Experience'. The press release further mentioned that a team of the best medical professionals in the world is treating Wendy Williams, and they asked the public to pray and send in their best wishes for the talk show host at such a crucial time. Some sources claimed that the situation was growing worse since the host switched from wine to pure vodka. After her talk show's production firm refused to enlist her assistance, things deteriorated quickly.

Wendy Williams has been vocal about her struggle with Graves’ disease, which is an immune disorder that causes an overproduction of thyroid hormones, and she has mentioned lymphedema, which is a buildup of fluid in the body due to the lymph system being damaged or blocked. But for now, she has not spoken up about an official diagnosis for symptoms including brain fog, memory loss, hallucinations, or nonlinear speech.

Wendy Williams’ health issues began in 2017 when she fainted on-air during an episode of her show’s Halloween special. The talk show host said that the fall was caused by low electrolyte levels at the time and that she was back on the program following the commercial break. In 2018, Wendy explained to the audience that her doctors had advised her to take three weeks away from work because she was having trouble sleeping and feeling irritable. It was pointed out that this was the first time in ten seasons that she had taken sick leave.

Wendy had previously gone through a divorce, remained at a sober living home, and entered a Florida treatment. Early in her career, Williams struggled with substance misuse. She became sober and stayed that way until it seemed like she relapsed in late 2018 or early 2019. Due to health difficulties, the talk show presenter did not return for the final season of her program, The Wendy Williams, therefore various guest hosts were brought in to save the program. The show was canceled in June and it was reported at the time that it was very unlikely for the host to return as she is not always functioning like she used to and the people who understand her or have worked with her understand that there are some days when she has no idea who they are.

After the news of the cancellation of the show surfaced online, she announced that she was coming back with a podcast and said that she is famous and she will be back. William Selby, Wendy Williams’ manager at the time, said that the talk show host is excited about this new step in her life and her main priority is her health and shooting the first episode of her podcast.

Kevin Hunter, Wendy Williams' ex-husband said that in a meeting with Wendy's family, including her now-deceased mother, it was previously revealed that the production company Debmar-Mercury made no attempt to get Wendy the help she needed and that its representatives refused to approve the recovery strategies that would've helped Wendy also get well and live a sober life. They warned her that she would lose the show if she didn't stop drinking, Kevin continued.

However, when her show was canceled, Howard Bragman, Wendy Williams' representative, stated that Wendy Williams understood the business reasons behind the decision to cancel her show and that she had been assured by Debmar-Mercury that she should focus on her health and recover to the point where she can host once more, should that be her desire.

We wish Wendy Williams a speedy recovery!
