Will Smith has been facing quite the dejection these days since his ill-thought violent moment at the 2022 Oscars.

While the actor has to answer to his saddened and horrified fans for his senseless act, he is facing investigation by the Academy board, had to resign from the organization, and has lost more than a few career deals. Just recently, an actress and a Studio pulled out of a film deal with the actor.

The Dancing with The Stars alum JoJo Siwa and Paramount have called an end to their film deal with Will Smith. They were previously scheduled to work on a Will Smith-produced feature film, Bounce.

The famous YouTuber and Dance Moms alums, who are also extremely popular in the LGBTQ+ community of the Hollywood industry, shared that she doesn't feel like she could connect with the movie adaption of "Bounce" any longer. The film was to be based on the young adult book of the same name by author Megan Shull.

Other sources on the project have shared that Paramount Pictures have also pulled out of the deal with Will Smith and are no longer working on developing the project with the actor and the producer.

Talking with Variety, Siwa shared that Bounce was initially put on hold and now has been completely out during her GLAAD Media Awards interview with the media outlet. She clarified that the project was not "the one" for her.

While most readers will instantly equate the failure of the film with his recent actions during the Oscars Award presenting ceremony that put him on the pedestal, it was revealed that Bounce had been a long cost for a long time now. Smith's onstage interaction with comedian Chris Rock had caused him enough trouble otherwise, too.

The project was previously announced back in the summer of 2020 and was introduced to Paramount Productions by producer Caleb Pinkett, known for Cobra Kai and Charm City Kings. Pinkett's sister Jada Pinkett Smith and Will Smith were then announced as the producers of the project. They together then came up with the content company Westbrook.

However, sources have shared that Jada Pinkett Smith and her husband Smith were not leading the project but were just supporting the project by Caleb Pinkett. Yet, Bounce was hailed as a great project when Siwa was attached to the film in July.

As she had come out as pansexual only a few months before the project was announced, there were some things about the film that did not interest her. Apparently, the script of the film demanded that she kiss a male star on the screen.

Explaining her hesitation, she shared that she was deeply in love with her partner at the time and did not want to kiss another person. Her inhibitions also revolved around the fact that she would have to kiss a man and was not excited about the prospect.

She also shared that she was trying to get that scene deleted. Later, Variety reported that the Studio had readily obliged Siwa's wishes and had pulled out the kissing scene from the film.

Though the slap did not affect Siwa's decision to pull out of the project entirely, the slap did not help Will Smith's chances to retain the actress on board. In her interview with Variety, Siwa confirmed that the Oscars mishap did not influence her decision.

However, she added that while she is not interested in the politics of the situation, she believes that it is important to be kind to one another. She also cleared that kindness was supposed to go "both ways" in that particular situation.

On the other hand, the Academy Board of Governors is looking into the situation with Will Smith, and they are ready to meet the actor as of April 8, Friday. The meeting was supposed to discuss the consequences Will Smith is supposed to face after his Chris Rock slap.

The actor had lost his cool during the live broadcast of the 94th Oscars telecast and slapped him on stage while the globe looked on with utter shock and terror. The investigation was first slated for April 18 but given the immediate resignation of Smith from the Academy.

The letter shared by the Academy revealed that the board had set an earlier date for the previous meeting, which was supposed to take place on April 18 and will now take place on April 8. The meeting will talk about the "possible sanctions" and the consequences of the March 27 Oscars broadcast.

The Academy also revealed that given the revised reality of the situation as Will Smith himself resigned from the Academy. Hence, the situation can not warrant a suspension pr expulsion for the actor from the Academy.

Additionally, with the new terms in play, the rules of Academy membership, the control, and the timeline to address mishaps have ceased to apply to the unique situation. Therefore, they decided to call an early meeting and resolve the issue as soon as possible.
