Orlando Brown was arrested.

Actor Orlando Brown, who is famously known for his portrayal of Eddie Thomas on Disney Channel’s That’s So Raven from 2003 to 2007, was recently arrested by Lima Police Department officials and is currently in police custody.

Officer Torres of the Lima Police Department confirmed to Fox News Digital that the actor was arrested on Thursday in Ohio on a misdemeanor domestic violence charge after he allegedly threatened a relative with a hammer and a knife. TMZ reports that Orlando Brown’s brother Matthew, who is according to reports, not related to him by blood but had allowed him to stay at his home while he was homeless, said in a conversation with a TMZ reporter that Orlando was acting crazy and came at him with a knife blade and a hammer, but by God’s grace no one got hurt as the actor was unable to hit his brother.

According to reports from People magazine, Orlando Brown is being held in the Allen County jail on no bond, and it has not been clear if he entered a plea or not. The relative, Matthew, has mentioned to the authorities that the actor is homeless, and he did not want him to go to a homeless shelter, which is why he allowed him to stay at his place.

Back in 2018, during his appearance on Dr. Phil's episode, Orlando Brown got candid about his substance abuse and said that he had been selling crystal meth too. Orlando was arrested repeatedly in 2018 and had spent time in and out of jail on various charges, including drug possession, domestic battery, DUI, burglary, and resisting a public officer.

Orlando Brown’s friend and manager Solomon Barron at the time had kicked him out of his house after they reached a breaking point, but Solomon feared for his friend’s health, which is why he reached out to Dr. Phil and mentioned that the actor has burned so many bridges that no one wants to deal with him, and if he can help him, he has a chance to survive; otherwise, he won’t.

During the conversation, Orlando told Dr. Phil that he has struggled with drug and alcohol addiction, medicating with marijuana and using meth in the past, adding that just the influence and the demons that come with that sort of drug kind of took over. The actor went ahead and shared that there was a lot of drinking involved, and he realized that he was drinking a lot. Orlando said at the time that he just found himself in a dark place because he couldn't find everybody, and it's kind of like looking for the keys: when they stop looking, they're right there. He said that he started to realize what was in front of him, and from there, now he is good.

During an interview with The Christian Post, the actor disclosed that he was set to earn a degree from a Texas-based rehabilitation program in September 2020, so as to tell people he was okay and clinging to life. The performer stated that he had been in an unsafe situation, and therefore that things have been bumpy, however at the end of the day, all he has to tell everybody is that he is alright, that he is going to graduate, and that he will be expected to marry.

A woman told police in 2014 that the actor had attacked her and her daughter. Orlando Brown accepted a plea deal from the prosecution and paid a minimal fine. Apart from his successful stint on That’s So Raven, Orlando Brown played important roles in several movies like Senseless, Straight Outta Compton, The Tangerine Bear, Perfect Game, Eddie’s Million Dollar Cook-Off, and more. He continued to appear in various TV shows like Two of a Kind, Malcolm & Eddie, The Pretender, Moesha, The Wayans Bros, and Lizzie McGuire.
