Veteran Hollywood Actor Hugh Jackman on Wednesday thanked his fans for their support after news of his father's unfortunate demise. The X-Men actor took to Twitter to announce the heartbreaking news of his father's death, Christopher John Jackman. Jackman shared the photo of his father on social media platform Twitter calling his beloved dad extraordinary and expressing deep sadness & loss. The 54-year-old actor's father died at the age of 84.

In the shared emotional post the actor wrote, "In the early hours of Father's Day (AU), my Dad peacefully passed away. And whilst there is deep sadness, I’m filled with such gratitude and love. My Dad was, in a word, extraordinary. He devoted his life to his family, his work, and his faith. I pray he’s now at peace with God.” Actors across the Hollywood industry expressed deep sorrow over his father's demise, Deadpool actor Ryan Reynolds commented on the post, " I was lucky to have met him.". Hollywood actor Richard Grant commented, "So so sorry the incalculable loss of your Pa, Hugh."

In an Instagram story too, the Reminiscence actor thanked his fans for their support and lovely messages. He said, " Tour heartfelt messages, love, and prayers are being felt." He added, "Thank you so much." The Australian actor in his heart-touching father's day post also shared various advice and lesson he learned from his wonderful dad over the years that he spend with him and cherished all the funny moments.

The actor was just at the age of eight when his mother Grace left the United Kingdom with both his sisters, Zoe and Sonya. The actor's father John Jackman raised all his three sons - Hugh, Ian, and Ralph by himself and as a single father, in the city of Sydney, Australia. The Actor's father Christopher Jackman was a British-born, Cambridge-educated accountant.

The superstar was most recently seen in the Warner Bros sci-fi film Reminiscence with co-stars Rebecca Ferguson and Thandiwe Newton. The story revolves around Nick Banniser, a private investigator of the mind, who tries to navigate the mysterious darkly alluring world of the past by helping various of his clients to access their lost memories.
