The 76th British Academy Film Awards, or BAFTAs, will be held on February 19, 2023, at the Royal Festival Hall in London's Southbank Centre. According to reports, the ceremony will be held at the Royal Albert Hall for the first time since the 69th British Academy Film Awards in 2016.

The relocation is part of a new agreement between BAFTA and the Southbank Centre, and it aligns the Film Awards with the British Academy Television Awards and British Academy Games Awards, which are already held there. The British Academy of Film and Television Arts will introduce awards for the best motion picture and documentary films of any nationality that were shown in British cinemas in 2022.

Hayley Atwell and Toheeb Jimoh revealed the nominations via a global Livestream on January 19, 2023. Swazi-English BAFTA and Academy Award-nominated actor Richard E. Grant while British television personality Alison Hammond will emcee from backstage, giving audiences what's billed as an access-all-areas experience will host the ceremony. The red carpet pre-show will also be hosted by presenters Vick Hope and BBC Radio 1 film critic Ali Plumb.
