Anna Faris accuses late-director Ivan Reitman of inappropriate behavior.

Actress Anna Faris appeared on Lena Dunham’s "Unqualified" podcast where she recalled one of her hardest film experiences and accused director Ivan Reitman of inappropriate behavior on set.

Anna Faris asked Lena Dunham if she could disparage the dead before disclosing that Ivan Reitman, who died in February at the age of 75, was working on a comedy film during his tumultuous reign. Anna Faris brought up the comedy film 'My Super Ex-Girlfriend,' saying that Ivan Reitman was a shouter who would bring someone down every day, and on her first-day filming, it was her. She told Lena that she had to fight back tears during her first encounter with Ivan Reitman.

The actress claimed that she arrived late on set on her first day due to a wardrobe malfunction and that the late director's response made her upset, traumatise, and demeaned. Anna also stated that Ivan Reitman smacked her behind at an odd moment. Lena Dunham told Anna that she might not be the first person to report it, and she apologized for going through something so horrible and humiliating, and she asked if anyone attempted to intervene and say no.

It was 2006, and the actress said no. Gavin Polone, who worked on My Super Ex-Girlfriend, told Deadline that he never saw or heard about the incident, but he sees no reason to dispute Anna Faris' account. Gavin went on to say that if Anna Faris says it happened, he will believe her and convinced the publication that if it had occurred in front of him, he would have confronted Ivan about it and expressed regret that the actress was treated in this manner.

The actress previously mentioned the same incident in 2017, but she did not name the director. At the time, Anna Faris revealed that she was filming a scene in which she was on a ladder, meant to be taking books off a shelf when the filmmaker smacked her behind so hard in front of the crew that all she could do was laugh. She went on to say that she looked around the crew and thought they were looking at her with queries about what she was going to do, which she thought was strange.

Anna Faris concluded that it was how she saw it, but she believed that the director would not have been able to smack a male lead's ass, adding that the action made her feel very small at the time but there was nothing that she could do. Simultaneously, the actress claimed that the filmmaker told her agent that she was employed because of her great legs. Anna recalled the same director telling her agent, who told her that she had great legs, which was one of the reasons she was hired.

She went on to say that she was not complaining as it was a fucking great compliment and that she likes her legs, but that remark sort of defected her entire experience with the project for which she was excited for. According to Anna Faris, the director would have not hired the male lead on the basis of his great legs. As a result, she felt objectified and was made to feel that she was not hired because she was talented enough to be working on the project but just the external factors like her legs.

The revered Canadian director of Czech origin died in February at the age of 75. Ivan Reitman in his career had directed a lot of movies including the first two Ghostbusters movies, as well as Kindergarten Cop, Twins, and Junior. Ivan worked on films such as Space Jam, Private Parts, and Animal House.
