Camila Cabello definitely 'walked away with more than a song' as she paired up Shawn Mendes.

The Voice Season 21 is back and has already reached its Battle Rounds as of this Monday in October. Kristin Chenoweth serves as the advisor this season and guided along Ariana Granda, a longtime pupil, and friend of his. Jason Alden took to monitoring Kelly Clarkson, his duet partner for "Don't You Wanna Stay." Dierks Bentley held the position for mentoring Blake Shelton, while Camila Cabello paired with John Legend.

Camila took to spending time with John as the latter put in work for a jazz-soul stylist KJ Jennings, and roots-rocker Samuel Harness. They worked on "I Know What You Did Last Summer," a hit song from Camila's own creation. The singer shared about her romance with longtime beau Shawn Mendes that she has been dating for over two years now. The couple had come together in July 2019 as they paired together for 'Senorita,' a song that blew away music-lovers and the internet alike. Hence, Camila retold her story about the "first song from when I was a baby fetus."

She began, "Shawn and I started writing this song in a dressing room at Taylor Swift's concert. But what's really interesting is for the session, we had Shawn and me in separate vocal booths, and we were just kind of improvising at each other." Continuing, she said, "And that is the bridge that you hear now. He and I were just kinds of bouncing off each other for that bridge part. Another fun fact is Shawn would never remember the words of this bridge, and I would always make fun of him because he always got the words wrong."

The song was their first pairing before the couple became a thing way back in 2015. They performed together for "I Know What You Did Last Summer" in December 2015, four years after which they fell in love. John aptly added, "And look what happened afterward! The magic happened!" Indeed, it did.

Camila has an absolutely beautiful and funny reply to this. The 'Havana' Singer said, "Yeah, I walked away with more than a song if you know what I mean."

Both John and Camila put great effort into the pairing behind KJ, and Samuel and John definitely wished for a sizzling fire in the singer duo, as portrayed by Camila and Shawn. It is not far-fetched to say that the two delivered, Big Time! Samuel began off as shy and introverted in the first phase of the song, while KJ was coming off as a bit too intense. Eventually, the two found their rhythm as KJ balanced the slow born of Samuel nicely. Soon Samuel was up to the build and built up a lot of drama with his captivating moves and actions as he looked longingly into KJ's eyes and totally carried the charm. His slow transition was extremely satisfying to watch and yet surprising, to say the least. As Camila would appreciate, Samuel remembered all the words to the bridge.

Camila and John also made a great decision to bring the contrasts of Samuel's low base with KJ's piercing vocals. The combination set fire to the couple's onstage chemistry adding to the explosive blast of their hit performance. John, no outsider to Camila's and Shawn's romance, knew about their similar dynamics and commented, "The wild thing is this song was written by Shawn and Camila as their first collaboration before they were dating."

Elaborating further, he said, "The way you all connected, um, like, the chemistry was great. They really enjoyed performing together. That's all I want to say — no pressure!" Unfortunately, despite the slow grinding momentum that KJ and Samuel had built, John had to let go of KJ, keeping only Samuel in the team, his reasoning being that Samuel's voice came with is, "It was a difficult decision. I just thought it'd be better to pick Samuel because I think his voice has a little more character and individuality and uniqueness."

It's a connection of time to see if the two singers will reach out to each other after the show's 21st season to pair up on their exotic vocals and create something new. Still, Camila and Shawn sure made a great match since they began initially and then worked together for better things and a relationship that induces envy. But for Samuel, there is a long road ahead, which he will be sharing and fighting for as other contestants journey along. Here is a little more on the latter:-

Ariana Grande worked with Katie Ray and Bella Denapoli. The song she assigned them was "No More Tears (Enough Is Enough)." The song was originally sung by Barbara Streisand and Donna Summer and had herself sung a rendition with Barbara. Ariana knew the song was fit only for the best of singers and asserted her confidence in the two singers, saying, "It's a challenge, but I know they can do it." Kelly performed the song with a "sultry low end," as noted by John, while Bella chose to stick with a high-pitched tone, which ultimately failed the singer. Ariana was sad to pick a winner in the end and was very close to tears to let one of the fine women go. However, she finally went with declaring Kelly as the winner.
