Comedian and actor Bob Saget has sadly passed away at the age of 65.

Bob Saget, who is popularly known for his portrayal of the character Danny Tanner from the successful and much-loved 80s sitcom ‘Full House’, passed away at the age of 65 on Sunday.

Bob Saget’s family released an official statement to confirm the news of the actor’s passing. "We are devastated to confirm that our beloved Bob passed away today. He was everything to us, and we want you to know how much he loved his fans, performing live and bringing people from all walks of life together with laughter. Though we ask for privacy at this time, we invite you to join us in remembering the love and laughter that Bob brought to the world."

The Orange County Sheriff’s office has also confirmed the news of the comedian-actor’s death, stating that he was found unresponsive in his hotel room at the Ritz-Carlton in Orlando, Florida on Sunday. The Sheriff’s statement read, "The man was identified as Robert Saget and pronounced deceased on scene. Detectives found no signs of foul play or drug use in this case." The cause of death will be determined by the medical examiner as mentioned by the Sheriff.

According to the reports and Bob Saget’s last tweet, he was in Florida as a part of his comedy tour, ‘I Don’t Do Negative Tour,’ and had performed on Saturday at Ponte Vedra Beach, Florida. He tweeted after a successful show, "Loved tonight's show @PV_ConcertHall in Jacksonville. Appreciative audience. Thanks again to @RealTimWilkins for the opening. I had no idea I did a 2-hour set tonight. I'm happily addicted again to this s—t."

The comedian-actor also shared the picture on his Instagram with the caption, "I'm back in comedy like I was when I was 26. I guess I'm finding my new voice and loving every moment of it."

Bob Saget was also the host of America’s Funniest Home Videos from 1989 to 1997, he had played a parody of himself in both Entourage and Louie. Bob was also known as the voice of future Ted Mosby in a popular sitcom ‘How I Met Your Mother’. Talking about his popular sitcom, ‘Full House’, Bob Saget played a widowed father, Danny Tanner who had three daughters, a brother-in-law, and best friend all living under the same roof. The show aired from 1987 to 1995hisco-stars included, John Stamos, Lori Loughlin, and Mary-Kate, and Ashley Olsen who along with Bob soon became household names.

Contrary to his character in Full House, Bob Sagetdelighted in raunchy, profanity-laden stand-up routines’.In 2016, Bob Saget spoke to The Philadelphia Inquirer where he mentioned that at the age of 17, he had won a local radio contest by singing a song about bondage. He also mentioned in the interview that while he spent most of his time at Temple shooting a movie, he liked to go back to the University of Pennsylvania’s campus to do improve. After graduating he moved to Los Angeles and soon with his hard work and dedication became one of the constants at the Comedy Store. In his Marc Maron’spodcast interview in 2010, Bob said, "I lived in that room for seven years. I did jokes and some stories but most of them were just silly, dirty silly. I stayed like a kid who just talked silly."

Bob had previously shared that he was drawn to jokes with foul language and anatomy because he was not allowed or supposed to talk in that way in his youth. Post his stint at ‘Full House’, the comedian-actor directed a television movie titled, ‘For Hope’, which was a fictionalized story on how his sister, Gay, grew ill and passed away due to systemic scleroderma. Systemic Scleroderma is an autoimmune disease that can lead to hardening and tightening of the skin and connective tissues.

In 2010, Bob Saget hosted a documentary series, ‘Strange Days with Bob Saget’, in which he spent time with pro-wrestlers, bikers, Bigfoodhuntersand others. When he asked about his voicing future Ted Mosby, a character played by actor Josh Radnor, for How I Met Your Mother, Bob Saget said, "My first thought was, why can’t he do it? Or how much cigarettes and booze do you have to have to sound like me? I did it immediately because I read it. It was a love letter; it was a relationship show."

Following the death of icon Betty White, Bob Saget paid tribute with a post on social media and shared his thoughts on death. Bob wrote, "She always said the love of her life was her husband, Allen Ludden, who she lost in 1981. Well, if things work out by Betty's design-- in the afterlife, they are reunited. I don't know what happens when we die, but if Betty says you get to be with the love of your life, then I happily defer to Betty on this."

His wife, Kelly Rizzo, and three daughters, Aubrey Saget, Lara Melanie Sagetand Jennifer Belle Saget, survive Bob Saget.
