Blake Shelton talks about his stepsons.

Country singer Blake Shelton recently spoke to People magazine and opened up about how his stepsons, i.e., Gwen Stefani’s sons, have made him have a different kind of self-worth. She shares her kids with ex-husband Gavin Rossdale and now with Blake Shelton

Blake stated that they have taught him things about himself that he never knew, such as the fact that he is much more than a country singer or a humorous guy, and that the kids have made him understand that he is someone on whom they can rely, which is not an obligation that he has ever had or even taken into account.

Blake Shelton, who is now the stepfather to Kingston, Zuma, and Apollo, said during the discussion that it's a unique kind of self-worth, and perhaps the polar opposite of self-worth, since one has put themself way down on the rung and the children move up ahead of them. The country singer will appear on USA Network in his new game show, Barmageddon, which he co-created with close friend Carson Daly and premiered on Monday night. He claimed that Gwen Stefani and he had spent so many years traveling, touring, and continuing to work for the first half of their lives that they are now purely like that and want to put on track pants at 6 p.m. and watch Ozark eight times.

During the conversation, the country singer said that if he walked away from his career at this time, the only thing that he could run the risk of is regretting that he was missing out on some more important things in life, adding that for now, it’s the kids. Blake stated that it is no longer about him and will never be again clarifying that even though he is a stepparent to the boys, he takes that job very seriously, as he would want the kids to see him as someone important in their lives, and he admitted that when they ask why he wasn’t there, he takes that stuff to heart.

The country singer explained that he has made plenty of money, but one cannot buy time back, and he just doesn’t want any regrets. He adds that he is happiest when he is back home in Oklahoma with his family, stating that they get away from everything in Los Angeles and are just themselves, and it truly feels different, and that is where he feels the most comfortable, happy, and safe.

Speaking about his relationship with Gwen Stefani, whom he married in July 2021, Blake Shelton said that he is feeling settled, explaining that the relationship that they share is so natural and so organic that it feels like the easiest thing he has ever been a part of, and for him, she is his best friend and everything he needs to lean on. He also mentioned that it quickly became clear to her that there was no time for him to consider what if it didn't work out. He once again said that he has accomplished more than anything he could imagine and made plenty of money, and now his family is where he wants to invest his time.

Blake Shelton recently announced his exit from The Voice after 23 seasons, and about that, he said that people have told him that he is quitting to do nothing, to which he responded that he is accepting ideas. But he does have his show, Barmageddon, and his Lands’ End Clothing line, stating that he feels that it’s time to push some of the work stuff out and let more family and personal life in. He shared that one might never know what their regrets are going to be until they look back one day, and he feels that his regrets would be if he continued on this path because he would be missing something important, which for now is his family, so he would like to prioritize that.

Blake Shelton announced his departure from The Voice in a statement, saying that he has been wrestling with the idea for a while and has decided that maybe it's time for him to step away from The Voice after season 23. He went on to say that the show has changed his life in every way for the better and that it will always feel like home to him. He also expressed gratitude to everyone on the show, from NBC to every producer, the writers, musicians, crew, and catering people. Blake concluded that putting on a live show twice a week requires a lot of effort and passion, mentioning that he has made some life long connections including one with Carson Daly and all of his fellow coaches. Blake mentioned a massive thank you for the fans and viewers who not only watch the show but also support them in every way possible.
