Amber Heard released notes from her therapist during the interview with NBC’s Dateline.

Amber Heard, who appeared for her first interview with NBC News post the verdict, was asked by Savannah Guthrie about why she agreed to interview in person and on camera, to which Amber Heard said that if there is one thing that she could tell her is that she is not vindictive and there is no part of her that believes that she is here to get vengeance and added that this might be a lousy way to get that.

Amber Heard said that her goal for the interview is for people to see her as a human being and said that she still has a love for Johnny Depp, despite their tumultuous relationship and the highly publicized trial. She said that she has no bad feelings or ill will towards him at all and added that she understands that it’s all hard to understand, but it’s the truth. She also said that she is going to stick by her testimony until her dying day.

Amber Heard and her attorneys mentioned that there was evidence that was not allowed in the courthouse, and Amber Heard decided that the interview would be a good opportunity to share those. Thus, she released the notes from her therapist detailing the abusive acts she suffered, She said in the interview that there is a binder's worth of years of notes dating back to 2011 from the very beginning of their relationship that was noted down by her doctor. Some of the notes appeared on the screen, which mentioned that he ‘hit her, threw her against a wall and threatened to kill her’. Amber said that these notes could have made the difference, as those notes were not submitted in court because the judge ruled that they were hearsay and inadmissible.

Amber Heard and her attorneys have made it clear that she plans to appeal the verdict at Fairfax County Court, Virginia, and mentioned that she feels disappointed and devastated that the amount of evidence she had provided, was not enough to convince the jury that she had suffered. When she was asked that nobody else came forward with any accusations or allegations against Johnny Depp ever until her and even after her, she said that the thing is, did she think that anybody would come forward with the allegation after seeing what happened to her and concluded that she is a survivor and to her dying day she will stand by her testimony.

One of the seven jurors who decided the verdict unanimously came forward and shared that Amber Heard's testimony was hard to believe because she did not have enough or no evidence to support the claims. The juror also mentioned that the sudden shift in her facial expressions and her constantly looking at them made them uncomfortable, and on various occasions, the majority of the jury found her to be the aggressor in their relationship. The juror whose name has been kept sealed said that Johnny Depp was more believable while talking on the stand and he kept his composure the same throughout the trial.

The juror clarified that it's not true that the jury was influenced by social media because they decided after considering all the evidence. The unnamed man said that none of the people on the jury were fans of either of the actors and were doing their part sincerely.

In response to the interview, a spokesperson for Johnny Depp told NBC News that it's very unfortunate and disappointing that the defendant (Amber Heard) and her team are repeating, reimagining, and re-litigating matters that have already been decided by the court and a verdict that was unanimously and unequivocally decided in Johnny Depp's favor by a jury.

After questions were raised about Amber Heard's decision to give the interview in the first place, her spokesperson released a statement saying that Johnny Depp's legal team blanketed the media with various statements and interviews on television for days after the verdict, and Johnny Depp himself did the same on social media. Amber Heard meant to respond to what they did violently last week, and she is doing it via this interview, which allows her to voice her thoughts and feelings, much of which she was not allowed to do on the witness stand, according to the statement.

On Friday, a representative of Amber Heard said that if Johnny Depp or his team has a problem with the interview, they would recommend asking him to sit down with Savannah Guthrie for an hour and answer all her questions.
