Kanye "Ye" West's only Thanksgiving wish this year "is how I get my family back together and how I heal the pain that I've caused."

The rapper and singer recently came clean in front of his followers and also his family as he addressed his many issues from the past. The apology came in the form of a short video, where Kanye West talked about his behavioral issues as his voice played over a video of a choir singing.

The short clip included everything about his regret over excessive drinking and out-of-control temper, along with his very problematic "Make America Great Again" hat. Not only did he talk about his spectacularly failed presidential bid campaign but also talked about his unhealthy relationship with money as he spent it "like crazy" and how he disturbed his family dynamics.

The star began his Thanksgiving prayer starting with a quick introduction as he revealed it was Ye talking. The star had recently filed to officially change his name to "Ye," and the plea has been approved, allowing the rapper formerly known as Kanye West to drop his last name and just go by his chosen name.

The singer started by saying, "Hello, my name is Ye, and this is my super, super, super, super, super long Thanksgiving prayer." Adding a sentence to show his gratefulness for his fans ( and his haters ), he said, "On this Thanksgiving, I'm so thankful for family, my blood family, my fans, and our haters. We love you, too."

The rapper was recently said to have taken his son Saint West, whom he shares with former wife Kim Kardashian, to a football match. The trip led to some revelations as the star said, "My mini-me is a mix of two of my favorite things. Me and my wife's face. All I think about every day is how I get my family back together and how I heal the pain that I've caused."

Not only did he say that he missed being with his loved ones, but also noted in his mea culpa that he is guilty of many issues. The rapper said, "I take accountability for my actions. New word alert: mis-actions. The one thing that all my successes and failures have in common is me."

The star also acknowledged that his excessive drinking habit, which he began to "take the stress away," led to an adverse effect causing him to have a "hair-trigger temper." Explaining more about his behavior which strongly mirrored the bipolar disorder, Kanye said, "I know none of y'all would ever picture this, but sometimes I scream, and that screaming might have helped me tell off everyone who doubted me in music, but that screaming did not help me keep my family together."

But this is not the first time that Kanye had to suffer from ill mental health. The rapper had first started medicines back in 2016 after he went through a manic fit. He also acknowledged that his mental health was then strongly projected on his family, making them suffer too. Ye added, "I was placed under heavy medication. Since then, I went on and off the medication, which left me susceptible to other episodes, which my wife and family and fans have had to endure."

In his very long Thanksgiving prayer, Ye talked about Kim again and again, as he referred to her as his wife and said, "Good lord, my wife did not like me wearing the red hat," which clearly had the words "Make America Great Again" written across it. Notably, Ye had worn the red hat to support the then President of America, Donald Trump, who has been publicly denounced as a racist and a sexist. The red hat was also a part of Ye's own presidential bid campaign.

Again, expanding on his spectacular political miss and Kim's stand on the issue, Ye said, "Being a good wife, she just wanted to protect me and our family. I made me and our family a target by not aligning with Hollywood's political stance, and that was hard for our marriage." He added, "Then I ran for president without proper preparation and no allies on either side. I embarrassed my wife in the way that I presented information about our family during the one and, thank God, only press conference."

The star also redirected back to his abortion conversation with Kim, when the couple was first pregnant with North West, Kim and Kanye's first child together. In an election campaign in July 2020 in South Carolina, Kane had revealed that he was of the mind to abort their first child, while Kim stood against the decision. Entertaining the thought of divorce back then, Kanye had said, "Even if my wife were to divorce me after this speech, she brought North into the world, even when I didn't want to. She stood up, and she protected that child."

Now, explaining why he went on to give this long Thanksgiving speech and prayer with additional reference to the abortion announcement, Ye told that his father had wanted him to come clean as he shared, "All my dad had to say afterward was, 'Write your speech next time, son.'" Hence, keeping up more with the spirit of Turkey Day, Ye shared that he is immensely grateful for his four children that he has with Kim Kardashian: North, 8, Saint, 5, Chicago, 3, and Psalm, 2.

"I've had giant entourages, people around me just to make me feel good about myself. I've had to learn that I had to take accountability," said the rapper. "We always judge and tell other people what they should do, but we can only take accountability for ourselves and our children. This Thanksgiving, I'm thankful for the family that my wife has given me. I'm thankful for the life that God has given me, and I'm thankful for your time, attention, and patience. In Jesus' name, amen."

Notably, Kim has already filed for divorce from Kanye West as of February this year. In her reason for divorce, the SKIMS owner had stated that the couple had "irreconcilable differences." The reality TV star has already moved on and is now together with Pete Davidson after they first appeared together on the Saturday Night Live show.

On the other hand, Kanye seems to be having a hard time accepting this fact and apart from referring to Kim as his wife several times, he also recently shared a picture of him kissing Kim Kardashian on his Instagram Story along with an added hopeful message that the couple would be together again. Sharing why he still wants to be with Kim, the Donda artist had said, "My kids want their parents to stay together. I want us to be together."
