Khloé Kardashian is one of the Kardashian sisters who has received a major amount of backlash online when it comes to her body. People on the internet have not been very considerate towards her progress over the years especially when it comes to comparing her with her sisters. This has been the case for Khloé from not only the fans but brands as well.

In 2016, when Khloé Kardashian launched her denim brand, ‘Good American’ with co-founder Emma Grede and appeared on the cover of ‘Health’s January/February 2017 issue, she opened up about her transformation. She shared that her desire to change her eating habits occurred during her divorce with Lamar Odom as she turned towards the food to process the tough time. Khloe mentioned at that time that she has had an unhealthy relationship with food her whole life and needed an outlet so she started working out and losing weight.

In 2019, Keeping Up With Kardashians’ alum Khloé Kardashian received backlash for her comments that she made during an interview with Jay Shetty and said, she can’t stand people who complain about being fat. Khloe’s video surfaced on the internet where she was seen saying, "I can't stand people who are, like, eating a bucket of Haagen-Dazs ice cream and they are like [mock-crying] 'I'm so fat. And like, they won't work out, they won't change their diet, they won't drink more water, they won't whatever, but they're complaining, complaining, complaining." After the video went viral, people started to come to Khloe stating that it’s easy for her to say all these things because she is able to afford a personal trainer and plastic surgery. A few days later an unedited picture of her surfaced on the internet but soon Khloe and her PR went to the extent to get the picture removed from the internet for goo.

Khloé Kardashian later shared a picture of her topless and revealed that she had been struggling with body image issues her whole life. She wrote, “The photo was posted this week is beautiful. But as someone who has struggled with body image her whole life, when someone takes a photo of you that isn’t flattering in bad lighting or doesn’t capture your body the way it is after working so hard to get it to this point – and then shares it to the world – you should have every right to ask for it to not be shared – regardless of who you are. In truth, the pressure, constant ridicule and judgment my entire life to be perfect and to meet other’s standards of how I should look has been too much to bear. It’s almost unbearable trying to live up to the impossible standards that the public have all set for me.”

Khloé whose workouts have gone viral in the past few years, acknowledged that people think that she has had work done on her body but all she has used are some editing and filters and she genuinely works hard in the gym to maintain her body. She said at that time, “My body, my image and how I choose to look and what I want to share is my choice. It’s not for anyone to decide or judge what is acceptable anymore.” She has been pointed out for photoshopping a lot of her pictures but Khloe is probably okay with that.

Nitya Arora, a founder of a jewelry brand, ‘Valliyan’, said about Khloe being body shamed over the years, “She’s not responsible for years and generations of pain and trauma and insecurity that women have borne over generations. We’re very quick to judge people and analyze what they should and shouldn’t do, but I think at the end of the day, it’s your body and if you want to get corrective surgery or if you want to put a particular image of yourself up on the internet, then you have every right to do that.” She further said, “It’s okay if you want to get work done and if you think that is your ideal body type. But don’t lie to people saying that you haven’t gotten anything surgically done or you haven’t used any form of unnatural ways to get the body that you wanted.”

At the reunion episode of Keeping Up With the Kardashians, when Andy Cohen asked Khloe was she being treated differently after losing weight, she answered in regards to the entertainment industry yes and but no in regards to the family. Khloe recalled that designers use to bring racks of clothes for her sisters but they would end up giving her a few items. Talking about the PETA cover ad, she said, "It took a lot for me to do the ad. I'm not a typical stick skinny girl as you can see I got a booty, I got boobies, you know I have it. People need to know you have to embrace your curves and love who you are. I'd rather go naked in any way that I am than wear fur."

Things are never easy for Khloe as recently, one of her followers poked fun at her hands and commented under one of her recent pictures, "Oh Lord, she's hiding her hands.” To which Khloe replied, “Lol Never. My hands are beautiful baby.” The audience has appreciated Khloe for giving it back to the troll along with praising her for the three-month transformation she posted on her social media.
