Kim Kardashian took the stand on Tuesday in the Los Angeles courtroom in an ongoing defamation trial against Blac Chyna, which was originally filed in 2017 as Blac claimed that the Kardashian-Jenner family tried to get her show canceled with their influence and tried to defame her on social media. The family has denied all the accusations since the beginning.

The SKIMS founder testified in court that she had no memory of making any attempt to kill or get the reality show starring her brother Rob Kardashian and then girlfriend-fiancée Blac Chyna canceled. She said that she only remembers that she demanded that Blac Chyna be kept off their show, "Keeping Up With the Kardashians," after she heard that Blac Chyna had tried to kill her brother and abused him.

Kim Kardashian was on standby for an hour and mentioned that her texts are often voice dictated, which would account for the misleading message. After a couple of text messages that were dated back from late 2016 to early 2017 with the Kardashian’s name attached to them were read in the court, she said that she had no memory of sending them. She added that she does not remember the text she sent in the morning before adding that sometimes the voice renders "our" to "her" and she would never refer to her show as "her"; rather, she’d say "Rob’s show" since it was a spin-off series of Keeping Up With The Kardashians.

Lynne Ciani showed Kim Kardashian a text exchange between her and the producer from the production company, Bunim Murray, in which she had said that she needed to take a break from filming because she was not okay with how things were with Rob and Chyna and added that Chyna would not be appearing on their show because it puts Rob in a bad position and he ends up crying all day. Kim Kardashian acknowledged the text and said that it was something that she could have written.

During her testimony, Kim clarified that as a cast member of the show, she had the right to say that they would like to have a break from filming because she would not work in a toxic work environment and it was her show, so she had the power. Kim continued with her testimony and denied that she was trying to send texts to get Rob and Chyna canceled, adding that she couldn’t control the content of what they filmed, but she could do that on her show and she was clear that she would not like to film with her.

Kim added that she was expressing that they (the production) could film what they wanted, and as everyone was trying to insinuate that they had the power, they didn't, and she was simply expressing that she would be taking a break from filming to process and assess how she was feeling at the time. Kim concluded that she could only control what she could do and she wanted to take a break. She mentioned that she did not remember attending a January meeting that took place to discuss the fate of Rob and Chyna after their fight in December. Kim added that she does not know how she would have communicated that to them, adding that she did not know if there was a family vote in January to have the show canceled.

Lynne Ciani also asked Kim if she had seen any injuries on her brother that day, to which she replied that she just remembered him being super emotional and everything was such a blur and added that Rob was red, but she did not remember anything, in particular, just him looking very puffy and red. Kim Kardashian also clarified that she does not control her sisters’ lives and does not have conversations with them before they send emails when she was asked if she directed Kylie Jenner to send the concerning email about Blac Chyna to the producers.

Khloe Kardashian was also on the stand on Tuesday where she was asked about the mail that she sent to Jeff Olde, former executive vice president of E!, in 2016 expressing her concern over the abuse that took place in December 2016 when Blac wrapped a phone cord around Rob’s neck and held an unloaded gun near him. Khloe mentioned that she was not comfortable with the abuse that was happening to her brother, and she cared for his safety as well as the credibility of the Kardashian-Jenner brand name at the time.

When Khloe was asked if she attended the meeting in January to discuss the fate of the show, she said there was no season 2, only season 1, and added that she was not trying to cancel anything but she was only trying not to encourage such volatile behavior between Rob and Blac. Khloe shared in court and with the jury that the family feels strongly about a lot of things that does not mean that anyone is going to listen to them and all they were trying to do was not to be a part of such toxicity and were putting their concerns in writing so the production was aware of the volatile relationship.

Kim Kardashian is likely to return to the stand after their attorney after he presents the defense case.
