The recent Will Smith-Chris Rock altercation at the Oscars 2022 allowed Lamar Odom to reflect on his relationship with ex-wife Khloe Kardashian. Lamar stated that the duo would have still been together if he was able to take a stand for her or defend her the way Will Smith did for Jada Pinkett Smith when a third person made fun of her.
Lamar Odom took to his social media to express his feelings after the whole fiasco between Will Smith and Chris Rock took place at the Dolby Theatre in Los Angeles on March 27th, 2022. He said that if he had protected his wife and not tried to mentally, emotionally, and spiritually hurt her, they might have still been happily married.
The former NBA player added about Will Smith slapping Chris Rock over a joke that he said about Jada Pinkett Smith, that he loves his wife and he does not condone violence against anyone, before adding that Will Smith loves Jada Pinkett Smith and he was told that love covers a multitude of sins. Will Smith, according to Lamar, saw his wife getting hurt by the comments made by Chris Rock and, as a good and dutiful husband he did what he did; protect her. He also stated that Will Smith owes the audience or the celebrities ZERO explanation as to why he chose to slap Chris Rock. (Although Will Smith has now apologized to Chris Rock via a statement that was posted on Instagram)
This is not the first time that Lamar Odom has mentioned Khloe Kardashian post their divorce but in the past couple of years, Lamar Odom has admitted to a lot of mistakes and wrongdoings. In 2017 he spoke to US Weekly, stating that he had cheated throughout while he was married to Khloe Kardashian with multiple women. He admitted at the time that having multiple affairs with different women was something he regretted while married to Khloe Kardashian.
Khloe Kardashian filed for a divorce from the former NBA player in 2013 after being married for four years, but the Good American founder withdrew the papers after Lamar Odom was reportedly found unconscious at a Nevada brothel in October 2015. Khloe helped the player to recover before she went head-to-head with the divorce and it was finalized in 2016.
Lamar Odom, who was on Celebrity Big Brother, had expressed his desire to win Khloe Kardashian's back, admitted on Monday’s episode that he did not treat her right and that he was going to try his damndest to try to reconnect with her. He added that he would just like to have dinner with her and be in her presence to tell her that he is sorry for whatever he did and how much he felt like a fool for letting her go.

But Lamar also admitted that Khloe has every right to decline his invitation to see him, especially after the things he put her through, but with time, people can change. Lamar had several cheating scandals and battled substance abuse issues during his marriage to the Keeping Up With the Kardashians alum. He has mentioned that when he married her, he did so many things that she did not deserve, but he never did them intentionally. He was just not taking care of himself and his mind was not in the right space at the time.
The former NBA player was seen wandering around the house after he admitted that he finds it hard to sleep at night because his mind goes back to how much wrong he did to her. Lamar Odom had mentioned Khloe when he entered the house and said that he wished she could be here because he misses her so much and wants to see her. The player had tried to reach out to the Good American founder as he started to comment on her posts but Khole Kardashian has maintained her distance. Lamar Odom has been evicted from the show.

Khole Kardashian on the other hand is gearing up for her new upcoming show on Hulu, 'The Kardashians' along with dealing with the aftermath of her whirlwind romance with Tristan Thompson. Khole Kardashian according to sources is in a very good shape right now mentally as she is focusing on her daughter and work. She although mentioned during an interview that the new show is going to address the controversy of Tristan Thompson but she wishes she could stop talking about it.
The Good American founder has not yet commented on the comments made by Lamar Odom.
