It is the cuffing season, and Lindsay Lohan just got engaged to her boyfriend of two years! The actress has been in a relationship with Bader Shammas for two years, and despite both of them staying pretty lowkey this entire time, fans have been anxious to see if Lohan would finally find her "One Love" with Bader Shammas.
The star announced her pregnancy through a post on Instagram handle on Sunday. The post featured a casserole of pictures showing the two love birds looking ecstatic in their newfound bliss, sharing sweet smiles with each other and laughing at the camera, while Lindsay held her ring out to the center of the post, sharing her happiness with her followers.
The actress wrote a compact little caption for the engagement announcement post calling her fiance her 'life' and 'future,' as she tagged the man of her dreams in the post and added a ring emoji to the caption. "My love. My life. My family. My future. @bader.shammas #love 💍," wrote the Mean Girls star in her post.
Shammas, who likes keeping the details of his love life with Lindsay Lohan private, has been working in Dubai, U.A.E. for some time now and Lindsay Lohan has been living in the country for the past seven years. Shammas is the Assistant Vice President at Credit Suisse, a banking firm in the city housing the world's tallest skyscraper. Lohan herself has been very secretive about her relationship with the banker and rarely posts any pictures of her beloved partner. A source of The Sun, a British tabloid, had shared earlier this year that both Lindsey Lohan and Bader are doing great in their relationship. The source had shared, “Lindsay’s relationship with Bader is going strong. She has been with him for about two years now.”
The actress who was in the prime of her acting career back in the 2000s has herself kept a relatively low profile in these past few years and helmed on a handful of acting projects. Only recently did Lohan share that she is to star in a new film, this time for Netflix. She will be cast in a new romantic comedy flick, where she is to be paired with the Glee actor Chord Overstreet.
While the celeb has resided in the Emirati country for over seven years now, she had shared hopes of returning and working in the United States about two years ago. But then the Covid pandemic had stuck, restricting everyone to their homes just where they were. Now that safe travel is possible again, Lohan has made the shift back to the States and is keen on "taking back the life that I worked so hard for, and sharing it with my family and you guys," as Lohan said at the CNN’s New Year’s Eve special event to hosts Anderson Cooper and Andy Cohen.

Though Lohan is sure to make a great comeback with her new movie, her character yet remains unnamed for the film, but it has already been revealed that Lindsay will get to portray a “newly engaged, spoiled hotel heiress.” Unfortunately, the character suffers amnesia as she becomes the victim of a skiing accident. Lucky for her, even her disaster struck just right because her fall is cushioned by a “handsome, blue-collar lodge owner and his precocious daughter in the days leading up to Christmas.”
The film is set to a holiday undertone with the stars portraying a holiday-themed look in the first look released of the two leading cast members, Lohan and Overstreet. Netflix, the online streaming platform, has already shared the first look of the rom-com, and while the film is yet unnamed, along with Lohan's character, we know that the setting will be some time around Christmas as Lohan and Overstreet are decked in a complete winter outfit as the photo looks on a snowy winter landscape debuting Christmas fairy light and winter season decor.
The streaming platform recently shared the picture with an announcement of Lindsay Lohan's return to the Hollywood world, as they stated, "She's back! Here is your first look at Lindsay Lohan in her upcoming holiday rom-com, co-starring Chord Overstreet," through Twitter.
"Lindsay Lohan will star in a new romantic comedy about a newly engaged and spoiled hotel heiress who finds herself in the care of a handsome, blue-collar lodge owner and his precocious daughter after getting total amnesia in a skiing accident," was the complete announcement.
Earlier Lohan had starred in Among the Shadows, the 2019 movie, apart from her mega-hits, namely, The Parent Trap from 1998 and Mean Girls. She has also starred in The Canyons, Freaky Friday, Confessions of a Teenage Drama Queen, Mean Girls, Just My Luck, Herbie Fully Loaded, and Georgia Rule.
The star has also been reunited with her cast from Mean Girls in 2020 as the cast promoted the presidential election votes of the year. The cast of the blockbuster and cult classic film also included Tina Fey, Rachel McAdams, Amanda Seyfried, apart from Lohan. The reunion was all about the cast as they shared how playing those iconic roles affected them and how they think their characters influenced the world or made an impact.
The new unnamed film of Lindsay Lohan for Netflix was said to begin production sometime in November this year, and the release date could be anywhere in 2022. Similarly, while Lindsay Lohan and Bader Shammas have added a ring to that finger, there is yet no talk about the wedding bells ringing soon for the couple.
