Outrageous fashion surely was the theme at the 2021 American Music Awards, and several celebrities pulled it off with serious nonchalance!
From full gold masks to sheer dresses and equally bold celebrity appearances, the 2021 American Music Awards rocked both in the category of winners and the cool, gorgeous outfits we got to see tonight. The award show held on Sunday 21 November featured a hosting debut by Cardi B. The glitzy event was speckled with star-studded performances by Bruno Mars, Carrie Underwood, and Jason Aldean. BTS and newly emerging star Olivia Rodrigo also performed at the award ceremony this year.
But before heading into the venue to accept their awards, several celebrities took a moment on the red carpet as they showed off their glam attires for the evening. The most iconic of it all of course had to be Cardi B's solid gold mask, but the rapper changed into so many different attires on the awards night that it almost became difficult to keep count.
Here are a few of the best-dressed celebrities from the American Music Awards this year that truly took the cake apart from the awards that they won!
Cardi B

The host of the show, Cardi B changed into more than a handful of attires. The first look of the night on the red carpet for the American Music Awards 2021 was a black gown that featured a leopard print pattern made out of sequins. Soon, the rapper changed into a Schiaparelli outfit that she debuted along with a mask made out of solid gold. The outfit was made complete with statement earrings.
Completely unrecognizable in the face mask, the actress additionally veiled her face with a black veil adding more drama to the look. One of her red carpets looks for the night also included an extremely body-fitting gown that featured a very high thigh split. The artist styled her long hair in a tight updo free from any flyaways and rocked a pair of the chicest gold evil eye earrings.
Olivia Rodrigo

The new artist of the year award was handed over to Olivia Rodrigo this year and she looked phenomenal accepting the honor. She wore a purple David Koma gown full of sequins and a sheer panel hem featuring feathers for the big awards night of the year. With seven nominations to her name, the singer won one title during the night, which is great for a newcomer in the industry.
The dress featured a long plunging neckline, which she wore along with a pair of silver heels. Her hair hung loosely in soft curls as she vowed for her nominations.

The singer had to perform a stunning number "On My Way" and had to skip her red carpet appearance but was totally stunned at the 2021 American Music Awards show. The song will soon feature in her new film 'Marry Me,' which is set to release on Valentine's Day in the year 2022. Jennifer Lopez looked gorgeous in her full glam outfit consisting of a killer black dress. The singer then changed into a cream dress that debuted a veil matching the dress. The dress looks quite similar to the one featured in Marry Me's trailer.

The best part of being a supermodel definitely has to be the fact that you could rock just about anything and look extremely gorgeous while you do it. Winnie Harlow hence looked drop-dead gorgeous in a minidress that shone with the might of countless jewels adorning the fabric. She paired it with open-toed heels. Her hair was styled into a flirty romantic updo and adorned with a glitzy headband. The dress featured a chic high neckline accented by her stylish drop earrings as the star stunned in a riot of a rainbow of colors.

The Dancing With the Stars celebrity has been managing to create quite a lasting impression with her stunning performances and exceptionally regal outfits. The dancer looked ethereal on the red carpet of the 2021 American Music Awards in a black gown featuring a trailing ruffle. Funnily enough, Jojo Siwa later revealed that her earrings were actually not piercing her ears but were glued onto her ear lobes!

The star wore a silver gown that perfectly molded to her figure and left bare her arms to display her nicely curated collection of arm tattoos. The dress featured a high slit in the front and had cutouts running along the waistline. The star paired the silver dress with spiked studded heels for the night. She styled her brown hair into loose curls carefully collected into a ponytail as wavy sections of hair framed her face. The look was paired with pearl earrings and a bold red eyeshadow.
