Loki star Sophia Di Martino says she doesn’t know any detail related to the second season of the Disney+ series, in which she is slated to appear as the female variant of God of Thunder’s brother Loki, Sylvie as she previously portrayed the female version of the trickster in the superhit first season, which was announced back in 2018 with the storyline following the events of Avengers: Endgame, where a different version of the God of Mischief runs away with the space stone into a different timeline.

Martino told Elle in a recent interview during a discussion around the super popular show, starring actors like Tom Hiddleston and Owen Wilson, that she has no idea what coming in season two of the blockbuster, which is typical of Marvel Studios as it is known to keep its secret regarding details around its upcoming television series and live-action films in the superhero-based franchise, though the actress was willing to comment on what is that she is expecting out of her character Sylvie this time, Martino said that she believes that Sylvie will "fundamentally still be the same character."

"I don’t know anything about series 2. I don’t know how far it’s going to be removed from what happened at the end of series 1. I don’t know if she will have changed again by the time we see her again. I don’t know where she’ll be, what headspace she’ll be in. I assume she’ll fundamentally still be the same character, but the multiverse makes even [that] a little bit complicated. We can meet anyone," she said.

Martino replies when asked when is it that she thinks the filming of the show is going to start as the studio has already started working on the production of the second season of Loki back in November of last year with the head writer and executive producer Michael Waldron returning to lead the series as part of a deal signed between the Marvel writer and studio. "It obviously won’t be this year, so I hope it’s next year."

The actress concluded, touching upon the fact that she would like to see Sylvie in “some peace in the upcoming season as it would something be something different than the fans got to see in the first season of the series, where her character was largely seen in an aggressive role. "It would be easy for me to say I want her to be happy. I want her to find some peace, but I don’t know how interesting that would be to watch or play. She’s so fun when she’s pissed off and out for revenge! She’s such a strong, badass character that’s so empowering to play, and hopefully empowering to watch. I don’t know if I want that to be sorted. So who knows? I mean, it’d be nice to try on some new outfits."

While there isn’t much to discuss about the upcoming Disney+ series, Tom Hiddleston’s appearance in the show is confirmed. The series is set to fit into the bigger pictures of the Marvel Cinematic Universe and therefore will have a big effect on other projects of Marvel Cinematic Universe.
