Netflix released the trailer of Season 6 and Netizens are going ga-ga over it. The sixth season is also stated to be the last season of this Devil-God-Human drama. The release date of this super enthusiastic earthly-heavenly-humanely dramedy is all set to hit screens on the 10th of September.

The “date announcement” trailer for Lucifer is a montage of scenes from all previous seasons. So do not get confused when you suddenly see Dan popping up on the screen. It has the popping number playing “Make you a believer.”

Speaking about this in an interview Joe Henderson stated ““It will remain exactly the same as we had planned and it was really very, very important to us. When the idea for season 6 came up, Ildy (Modrovich, the co-showrunner) and I said to Netflix, ‘if we do this and we find the right story, the thing we don’t want to do is to undo everything we have done ‘. Once you see Season 5B you will understand how A and B are actually one big season. How it all relates … The things that happen in the Season 5 premiere fit in completely with the ending.”

Originally the plan was to end Lucifer at Season 5 and that is why season 5 was divided into 5 parts. A and B. By the end of part B Lucifer the King of Hell had become the worthy so of God. He not only contended for the “post” of job, he also had actually become God. Only after huge petitions from fans and top notch publicity regarding Tom Ellis aka Lucifers contract jeopardy, the thing only came in motion with the following tweet.

So what do you think will Season 6 hold for audiences? Do let us know!

Lucifer is the tale of the Devil who gets bored with his thousands of year-long reign in hell and decides to go for a vacation on Earth and lands in Los Angeles. The story then moves on to how he meets "The Detective", falls in love with her over the seasons, how Chloe turns out to be a gift of God for Lucifer, and finally how love transcends even the Devil to become God. But how well will he manage the responsibilities of God? That is what the new season unfolds!
