Chadwick Boseman Forever!

Actress Lupita Nyong’o honored her late co-star and friend, Chadwick Boseman, marking two years since the beloved actor’s passing.

Chadwick Boseman passed away on August 28th, 2020 at the age of 43 after a long and private battle with colon cancer. The world was shocked and saddened by the news of the actor’s passing away and some fans are still recovering from the loss of such a great actor and a role model, especially for Black people.

Lupita Nyong’o who starred in Marvel Cinematic Universe’s ‘Black Panther' alongside Chadwick Boseman shared a video in which Chadwick can be seen with a Sharpie in his hand and Lupita Nyong’o asking him what is he doing to which he says that he is signing tickets and revealing that he had just signed someone’s shoes, ‘a pair of Jordans'. She captioned the posts by writing kept it real, kept it kind.

Winston Duke, who also starred in Black Panther alongside Chadwick Boseman, commented on Lupita Nyong’o’s post and wrote that Chadwick was an incredibly generous man, always sharing, helping, giving, and loving. Winston continued that Ure missed his brother beyond any words and thanked the actress for sharing such a lovely and heartwarming video of the actor.

Letitia Wright, who plays Shuri in the movie and Chadwick Boseman’s character’s sister, shared a picture of the two and wrote that she misses hearing his laugh. She added that she always tried to make him smile whenever they saw each other with three purple hearts. She also posted a group picture with the cast of the movie and added that they all miss him and love him.

The trailer for the second installment of Marvel’s Black Panther movie, titled "Black Panther: Wakanda Forever," was released at the San Diego Comic-Con in July and is slated for release in November. While speaking to The Hollywood Reporter at the time, Lupita Nyong’o said that the entire cast and crew of the movie were extremely proud and happy that they were able to finish the movie despite a doozy of a few years for everyone. Lupita Nyong’o described the movie as a powerful statement in itself and added that going to the sets of Black Panther felt therapeutic for her and mentioned that it restored a sense of hope for her in making it, and she thinks that they have expanded the world of Wakanda in ways that are surely going to blow people’s minds away.

Director Ryan Coogler shared with the audience that he could feel Chadwick Boseman’s presence with them on stage and added that the impact the actor has made on the industry with his exceptional work and wisdom is going to be felt forever. The cast and crew of the movie are very hopeful that the audience is going to love the movie and mentioned that they are going to bring the world of Wakanda back to the public and fans in a way that is going to make Chadwick Boseman proud.

The trailer of the movie pays tribute to the late actor and the original Black Panther, Chadwick Boseman, who played King T’Challa in the movie, and the synopsis of the movie states that the characters must fight to protect their nation of Wakanda from the intervening world powers in the wake of their king’s death.
