Machine Gun Kelly and Mod Sun announce their directorial debut with 'Good Mourning'.
Machine Gun Kelly and Mod Sun are all set to make their directorial debuts along with screenwriting debuts with "Good Mourning" which is set to release on May 20th and stars Colson Baker himself, Mod Sun, Megan Fox, Pete Davidson, Dove Cameron, Becky G, Whitney Cummings, GaTa, Zach Villa, Jenna Boyd, and Boo Johnson. The cast shared the poster on their social media recently which looks really good.
In the film, MGK will play London Ransom, a movie star whose life is flipped upside down when the love of his life (likely Megan Fox) sends him a breakup text on the day of one of his crucial meetings. London Ransom is forced to choose between his love and a life-changing role in a major motion picture, according to the movie's description.
Cedar Park is producing the movie whereas Open Road Films, is going to distribute the movie. Chris Long and Jib Polhemus will be serving as the producers of the movie. Open Road Film’s CEO Tom Ortenberg said in a statement that Colson and the incredible cast of "Good Mourning" are looking forward to bringing the audience to their knees and jaws on the floor. The CEO added that they are also looking forward to bringing the wild comedy to the audience in theatres and at home on demand, before adding that this project is going to show the audience how much fun movies can be made and watched.

Dove Cameron had previously shared with E! News her experience while working with Megan Fox, Pete Davidson, and Machine Gun Kelly. She described her time filming with them as one of her favorite projects and added that she became an actress because she wanted a novel experience, and when she heard about Good Mourning, she thought that this was going to be a novel experience and described the movie as "classic throwback stoner comedy."
Good Mourning is going to mark Machine Gun Kelly’s third movie for 2022 and also his third collaboration with Pete Davidson and second with Mod Sun after their 2021 Downfalls High movie that starred Sydney Sweeney and Chase Hudson.
The two told Deadline that they are humbled and happy to bring their vision to life and feel very grateful for the trust the cast members have shown in them. The rapper recently released his sixth studio album, "Mainstream Sellout," and told Spin that if his previous album, 2020's Tickets to My Downfall, was a love letter to his mall punk forefathers, then Mainstream Sellout is a bitter kiss-off.
