Tristan Thompson’s name does not get a space on his son’s birth certificate!
According to reports, Maralee Nichols has decided not to put NBA player Tristan Thompson’s name on their son’s birth certificate since he was not present at the time of his birth. The father portion on their son’s birth certificate was left blank, according to reports.
Maralee Nichols recently revealed the name of their child via a statement that read, “Theo, my little angel baby. I named you Theo because it means, ‘Gift from God.’ I had never been pregnant and had been told I might not be able to have children. I couldn’t believe I was pregnant, when I saw you on the ultrasound and heard your little heartbeat I knew I would always protect you and keep you safe. I love you more than you’ll ever know. You bring such joy and happiness into my life. My greatest blessing.”
Tristan Thompson confirmed at the start of 2022 that after taking a paternity test, it was confirmed that he fathered a child with Maralee Nichols and takes full accountability for his actions. He said in a statement via his Instagram story, "Today, paternity test results reveal that I fathered a child with Maralee Nichols. I take full responsibility for my actions. Now that paternity has been established, I look forward to amicably raising our son. I sincerely apologize to everyone I’ve hurt or disappointed throughout this ordeal both privately and publicly."
According to reports that surfaced earlier this month stated that Tristan Thompson is paying thousands of dollars to both Maralee and Khloe along with the mother of his elder son Jordan Craig as a part of financial assistance for his kids. But, a representative of Maralee Nichols revealed to Entertainment Tonight, "Despite news reports stating otherwise, Tristan Thompson have done nothing to support their son. He has not made any attempt to meet their son, nor has he provided any financial assistance. In the future, we hope that reporters covering this situation contact us to confirm any facts before publishing."
Maralee Nichols had filed for child support in December after their son was born and shared a couple of texts from Tristan Thompson that stated that the player wanted Maralee to terminate the pregnancy as he did not intend to be involved in the child’s life and also tried to offer her hush money. The text read, “You know how I feel. My feelings haven't changed at all. Won't be involved at all. Btw if you think having this baby is gonna make you some money. It's completely wrong. You are aware that I'm retiring after this season. So in terms of the support it will be whatever is required monthly or someone who's unemployed. It's texas (sic) so it will be only a couple hundred dollars. So you better off taking this 75k I'm offering cause you won't get nothing near that with having a kid with a father who's unemployed.”

When it comes to relationships, they are complicated and the complication just doubles when Tristan Thompson is involved. Maralee Nichols had mentioned before that if she had known that Tristan Thompson was still involved with Khole Kardashian, she would have never gotten involved. It was also reported that after publicly apologizing to Khloe, Tristan hoped that the couple would be able to get back together but according to reports, Khloe is pretty much done with her and she is able to see things clearly now. The involvement with Maralee Nichols comes after a lot of cheating rumors against Tristan along with the famous involvement with Jordyn Woods.
Tristan Thompson publicly apologized to Khloe by stating, “Khloe, you don't deserve this. You don't deserve the heartache and humiliation I have caused you. You don't deserve the way I have treated you over the years. My actions have certainly not lined up with the way I view you. I have the utmost respect and love for you. Regardless of what you may think. Again, I am so incredibly sorry.” Khloe has not yet commented on Tristan fathering another child and is focusing on her daughter True.
