Takeoff's family hosted a Celebration of Life at the State Farm Arena in Takeoff's hometown of Georgia on Friday afternoon, and his family and friends gathered to say their goodbyes and honor his legacy.

At the sentimental assembling officiated by Pastor Jesse Curney III of New Mercies Christian Church, artists such as Drake, Justin Bieber, Chloé, Yolanda Adams, and Byron Cage performed. Offset and Quavo also spoke up. Outside of the arena, a huge banner with a picture of the rapper wearing his signature sunglasses read "Celebrating the life of Takeoff."

In a previous statement, Pastor Jesse Curney III of New Mercies Christian Church expressed his sadness at the news of Takeoff's death. He went on to say that Kirshnik has been a faithful member since he was 10 years old and that he and his family have been active and enthusiastic supporters of the church and the community as a whole. The pastor went on to say that he was recognized when Titania Davenport and Mother Edna Maddox asked him to be a participant in the services and that his goal is to love and support them during and after this unimaginable time. Finally, he stated that they simply would like to show God's love and end up serving them in any way they can.

Takeoff's uncle and fellow Migos member Quavo took to social media on Saturday and posted a lengthy letter in which he said it's difficult to tell him he manages to miss him because he's always with him and they did together everything. Quavo reminisced about how they became tag-team partners after falling in love with grappling and collecting every action figure. He stated that nothing ever bothered him, that he never bothered anyone, and that he is the most completely unfazed person on the planet. According to Quavo, Takeoff never went insane, never tried to raise his voice, and then when he did, he silenced the room because what Takeoff said that is the law and he wouldn't change his mind.

Quavo said he struggled to put into words what Takeoff meant to him. They were close, almost like brothers, but that didn't seem right to Quavo, given that Takeoff was his nephew. And then it dawned on him. He stated that he had spent the entire time trying to understand what Takeoff means to him because Takeoff is more than just a nephew to him, trying to add that they disliked the word "nephew" or when they said "Unc and Phew" because of two of them were always realized they were closer than that, and it made him feel old as well. But Quavo said that he couldn't say brother because he knew Takeoff was not his brother; after all, he was her sister's son, and now he finally gets that Takeoff is their angel. Takeoff was shot to death at a bowling alley in Houston, Texas, on November 1. Quavo was also present at the place but was completely unscathed.

Quavo's tribute came just hours after Cardi B posted a movable homage to Takeoff, her husband, Offset's cousin, on Instagram. Offset also paid tribute to Takeoff at the ceremony, saying that Takeoff changed music culture for ever and asking the Lord to give them the power to handle what had happened. Just give them some strength, he said, adding that he doesn't want to question God, but he just doesn't understand. Offset said that he doesn’t get God sometimes, but he believes in him. Offset's tribute was met with cheers from the crowd while he held back tears.

GTA 5 players paid tribute to Takeoff earlier this week by holding an in-game "memorial service" for the "Bad and Boujee" star, which also involved people wearing all-white suits to a preliminary church service before changing into all-black suits for a "house party" afterward. The statement said that they laid Takeoff to rest tonight asking everyone to obey the laws of the road. No crashing. Arrive in your best car.

In his official obituary, it was said that there are no words or sentiments that could convey the love people had for him and he had for them or the impact he had in the world. Takeoff would want the world to see the light in what he created and would urge people to keep lifting one another and support the art of other people.

Rest in Peace Takeoff.
