Migos rapper Takeoff passed away at the age of 28.

According to various reports, Takeoff of Migos was shot dead outside a bowling alley on Tuesday morning.

Takeoff, real name Kirshnik Khari Ball, was 28 years old and the youngest member of the trio Migos when he was shot dead outside a Billiards Bowling Alley located at 1201 San Jacinto Street, in the downtown area on Tuesday morning. The Associated Press confirmed the news through a representative who was not authorized to speak publicly.

Before confirming themselves, Houston Police Department spokesperson John Cannon told Entertainment Tonight that they are waiting for the medical examiner's office to identify the victim and notify the family, which has yet to happen. Officers from the Houston Police Department arrived at the scene and discovered one person, recognized as a black man in his 20s suffering from a gunshot wound to his head or neck, according to Click2Houston.com. During a press conference on Tuesday, Houston Police Chief Troy Finner noted the passed away victim as Takeoff.

According to TMZ, Takeoff was at a private event with fellow Migos rapper Quavo when the fight erupted at 810 Billiards and Bowling around 2:30 a.m. It was also revealed that Quavo was unharmed during the altercation. According to Lt. Christina Salazar, there would have been 40 to 50 individuals present at the event when the shooting happened after a disagreement over a dice game. As of yet, no arrests have been announced.

Quality Control, Migos' record label released a statement to share with the fans that the beloved rapper has passed away in an unfortunate and tragic accident. The statement stated that they, like everyone else, are grieving the death of their beloved brother Kirshnik Khari Ball, also widely recognized as Takeoff to the rest of the world. According to the statement, everybody in the company is gutted because individuals believe mindless violence and a stray shot have taken one other life from this world.

Takeoff and his uncle, Quavo, were members of the rap group with his cousin, Offset. The Lawrenceville, Georgia-based band had been making music for nearly 15 years. After nearly 15 years of collaboration, their new releases, and marketing materials implied that Takeoff and Quavo were starting to move on without Offset and had begun to call themselves "Unc and Phew," even though all 3 of them had done work on and released solo projects.

Takeoff and Quavo collaborated with Gucci Mane on "Us vs. Them," their second single without Offset since May. The previous single, "Hotel Lobby," was not released under the Migos moniker; rather, Quavo and Takeoff were given the credit. Quavo hinted that they had finished their relationship with Offset because he was unreliable.

In October Quavo shared with Big Fact that he just feels like they want to pursue their careers as a team adding that they simply came from a devoted family and they are meant to stick together. Quavo added that when shit doesn't work out, it's not always because it wasn't meant to be. Takeoff added in the same interview that however they are always family. Nothing is going to change. Takeoff and Quavo had just released a music video on Oct. 31, hours before Takeoff’s death.

Teyana Taylor posted a photo of the rapper with the caption that someone just tells them that it was a bad dream, and she doesn't want to believe it." Ja Rule posted RIP Takeoff, stating that the shit has to stop (shooting) and sending love to his friends and family. Jemele Hill also took to social media to say that when Biggie and Pac were killed, she didn't even think they'd ever see anything like that again, but it now occurs so commonly that people can barely have time to heal before someone else gunned down.

Reality TV star, Khloe Kardashian, also wrote on her Twitter that this is so sad. May God cover everyone who is in pain, adding that these senseless acts have got to end. Chance The Rapper mentioned that he is broken-hearted and confused this morning, but said that Take is a one-of-a-kind friend that would always acknowledge people, always make sure that they were good, and would always tell them to keep God first. Lauren Jauregui wrote, "Oh my God, rest in peace, Takeoff," adding that she cannot believe that.

Ciara wrote that her heart hurts to hear about Takeoff, and it just doesn’t make sense. Black Panther actor Winston Duke also quoted Complex’s posts and wrote that he is lost for words, adding what an incredible loss for Takeoff’s family, friends, fans, and the culture, mentioning that may the people be comforted during this time of grief.

We extend our condolences to Takeoff's family and friends.
