The 2022 Nickelodeon Kids’ Choice Awards were held at the Barker Hangar in Santa Monica, California on April 9th, 2022, and were hosted by Miranda Cosgrove and NFL superstar Rob Gronkowski. During the ceremony, First Lady Dr. Jill Biden delivered a speech appreciating the resilience of children in America, with a special mention to the children of service members and military veterans.
Dr. Jill Biden encouraged the children of America to continue to keep growing, learning, and giving back to their communities. The audience enjoyed the performances by Kid Cudi and Jack Harlow along with the exclusive teaser clips of the animated action-adventure feature, "DC League of Super-Pets," which were presented by the voice cast members Kevin Hart and Dwayne Johnson.
Another exclusive teaser that was showcased during the ceremony was the martial arts animated comedy movie, "Paws of Fury: The Legend of Hank," presented by Samuel L. Jackson.

BTS with winning the award for Favorite Music Group broke the Guinness World Record for ‘the most Nickelodeon Kids’ Choice Awards won by a group’ This was their third award under the category of Favorite Music Group and their sixth overall award from the Kids’ Choice Awards. The music group accepted their award via pre-taped speech where they thanked the Kids’ Choice Awards and the BTS Army for their immense support and love for the award.
The group added that they are immensely honored and grateful to win the award for Favorite Music Group and dedicated their award to their fans or BTS Army. Suga (one of the band members) said that the group is never going to stop trying to give their best and will show the audience and their fans some great performances.
Joshua Basset who won the award for Favorite Male Actor (Kids) said while accepting the award that nothing is more powerful than speaking one’s truth and the second thing is to never settle just because the things are the way they are because they don’t have to be the way they are. The actor added that we should know that we should not settle for a love that is second best and not what we deserve.
Tom Holland who won the award for Favorite Movie Actor for his exceptional role in Spider-Man: No Way Home, apologized to the fans for not being at the ceremony in person but went ahead to thank everyone for making Spider-Man: No Way Home their Favorite Movie of the year. The actor said that he just found out that he had won one of the awards but what he found more amazing is the fact that LeBron James was nominated for the same award and beating LeBron James for the award meant something very special to him.
Tom Holland went ahead to extend his thank you’s to everyone who made the movie so special and said that he appreciates all the love and support he has received. Zendaya the lead actress of the movie also won the award for Favorite Movie Actress for her role as MJ.
Billie Eilish who won the award for Favorite Song and Favorite Album for Happier Than Ever has won the award second time in three years and has become the fifth-two-timer winner in the category of Favorite Song following artists including Beyonce, One Direction, Avril Lavigne and Ariana Grande. She has previously won the Favorite Song award for 'Bad Guy'.
