Ruby Rose, who left the CW drama "Batwoman" in May 2020, has now revealed the reason for her departure on social media, noting, "It wasn't an easy decision, but those who know, know."She has made several claims about her time on the CW show, including that she was forced to leave.

Ruby Rose, who played Kate Kane/Batwoman in the first season of the television series, took to social media to criticize former Warner Bros. Television Studios president Peter Roth, Batwoman producers Caroline Dires and Sarah Schetcher, and Arrow-verse head-producer Greg Berlanti, alleging unsafe working conditions on the set.

"Enough is Enough," Rose wrote, before going on to detail alleged dangerous working conditions and personal mistreatment on set. "I'm going to tell the whole world what truly happened on that shoot," she continued. She claimed that she required emergency surgery after suffering a major stunt injury that put her at risk of paralysis.

"To everyone inquiring about my new Pez dispenser scar on my neck...," Ruby said in a video posted to her Instagram account. “I was told a few months ago that I required immediate surgery, or I would become paralyzed. Doing stunts had ruptured two discs, which were on the verge of destroying my spinal cord (sic). I was in excruciating pain and couldn't move my arms”. Rose joked about the gruesome clip in the post, writing, "To everyone asking why I let them tape it... Have you seen the Grey's Anatomy episode when a towel was placed in a patient? I also wanted to know what would happen if we sank."

Rose makes it obvious that her injuries were more serious than she had previously stated, and that she has receipts to prove it. She wrote, "I have enough documentation to make a one-hour documentary. Would you prefer me to tell you about the shattered neck, the broken rib split in half, or the tumor?" She says, atop a video of her surgery, "Imagine going back to work 10 days after this”.  Rose continues by claiming that she wasn't the only one hurt on the Batwoman set. She also claims that a crewmember had third-degree burns and that a production assistant was left quadriplegic due to an injury. "They attempted to put it down to her being on her phone," says one witness. "Her accident happened because our program refused to shut down when everyone else did due to Covid," Rose writes.

"I am forever in your debt," the actress said of her doctor for allowing her to continue working and doing what she loves. Rose was the one who first singled out Roth, speculating on her departure from the studio this year. According to the actress's post, Roth pressured her back to work after the surgery, guilting her with the fear that "the entire cast and crew would be sacked, and I'd let everyone down," and that "the studio millions would be lost."

"I'm not sure if you left after getting promoted to the highest position because you couldn't stop making young women steam your pants, around your crotch while you were still wearing said pants, or if you left after hiring a private investigator on me who you fired as soon as the report didn't fit your narrative," Rose wrote. "There's already an army waiting for you when it gets to you."

The former "Batwoman" co-star Scott, who played Jacob Kane on the program until his departure earlier this year, was also accused of abusing women on work by the "Orange Is the New Black" alum. "Dougray injured a female stunt double, shouted at ladies like a little bitch, and was a nightmare to work with. He was free to go and return whenever he pleased. He abused women, so as the host of a show, I issued an email requesting a no-yelling policy, which they denied," she stated.

The showrunner, Caroline Dires came to the set four times a year, which was unprecedented, and during one of those visits, Rose persuaded her to cooperate with the private investigator hired by Roth. "Please, my dear, darling fans, stop asking if I will return to that dreadful show; I would not return for any amount of money or if a pistol were pointed at my head," Ruby said. NOR DIDI QUIT. I DO NOT QUIT, They ruined Kate Kane and Batwoman, not me”.

Warner Bros. TV has responded to the actress's claims regarding her time on the show, claiming that she was "fired" after "multiple complaints" about her behavior.

Despite the revisionist history that Ruby Rose is now sharing online aimed at the producers, the cast and crew, the network, and the Studio, the truth is that Warner Bros. Television had decided not to exercise its option to engage Ruby for season two of 'Batwoman' based on multiple complaints about workplace behavior that were extensively reviewed and handled privately out of respect for all concerned," the studio said in a statement to The Wrap.

In Season 2 of Batwoman, actress Javicia Leslie was seen replacing Ruby Rose as the star, but she was introduced as a new character named "Ryan Wilder." Caroline Dries vowed that Ruby Rose's character Kate Kane would not be killed off, and Wallis Day was cast in the role, with the actress switch justified by Alice's (Rachel Skarsten) power to change people's looks.

The actress's allegations, according to many sources, are serious and will require a further inquiry into the production's working circumstances. According to the sources, it's evident from the IATSE negotiations and other sources that Hollywood production has fallen into a status quo that too often results in unsafe and unethical working conditions, particularly for those with the least salary and power.
