After the reports of Good Morning America co-anchors Amy Robach and T.J. Holmes’ "secret romance" were made public, a lot of things about the duo and their respective marriages have been brought to light.

A source mentioned that Amy Robach, who married Andrew Shue in 2010 was waiting to announce her split from her husband before her "secret romance" was made public. However, it was reported that the journalist and the actor had separated in August and which is why she did not feel shy about showcasing affection for her co-anchor T.J. Holmes who had also separated from his wife in August. 

An insider close to Amy shared with a publication that she and Andrew were about to settle their divorce and were only waiting for the settlement before announcing their separation. According to the insider, the reason she waited so long to share the news that her marriage to Andrew Shue was over was that she went through divorce mediation.

Amy Robach had cancer for a long time, according to the insider. She was preoccupied with that, and incorporating it into her and Andrew's lives were difficult beginning in the early summer of this year, and they already had issues. Andrew Shue has not yet commented on the situation, but he has removed all of the journalist's photos from his social media accounts.

According to the insider, she and T.J. did everything together all the time. Her daughter looked after his daughter. They were forthright about it. Because their lives were intertwined through work, and they were best friends when their relationships ended, he was there to support her, and it was a natural transition.

According to a source, the co-anchors will not face disciplinary action since they are two consenting coworkers who are equivalent in a relationship. A second source previously expressed similar sentiments about the evolution of Amy Robach and T.J. Holmes' relationship. They mentioned that Amy was going through a heartbreak, and T.J was very supportive and helpful, and that's when they started something adding that they had no qualms about going out together and have been doing so publicly for much longer than a month. However, the first source previously told PEOPLE that the couple did not start dating until they divorced their respective spouses.

They stated that their romance was between two consenting adults who were each separated concluding that they both broke up with their spouses in August within weeks of each other and it wasn't until after that that the relationship began. According to the source, Amy Robach has nothing to hide and the duo felt very comfortable dating in the open after that especially after they separated from their spouses. they weren't concealing anything.

Page Six has learned from a staff member that T.J. Holmes and his wife, Marilee Fiebig, had already been separated over several months but were trying to work things out when media coverage of his romance with Amy Robach broke on Wednesday. After learning about the romance, Marilee is devastated as she had no clue about it. The source stated that the former couple had not seen each other in a long time but they were attempting to figure things out between themselves. According to reports, T.J. moved out of his and Marilee's house earlier this summer as they had constant issues over the years, and they end up splitting up.

The source also said that Amy and T.J. did not want their romance to be out in open like this where it seems like a public fiasco but somewhere they do feel a lot of relief that it is all out and they do not have to be secretive or protective about it.They have not yet commented on the romance but have shut down their social media accounts and the pair arrived at ABC studios together Thursday and taped “GMA3” without mentioning the scandal.
