Actress Lana Condor and boyfriend–musician Anthony De La Torre are engaged!

Lana Condor took to her social media on January 28th, 2022 to share her engagement news with her fans in a series of stunning pictures of the couple with their dogs in the wood. She captioned, "Saying YES was the easiest decision I've ever made. I consider myself the absolute luckiest woman alive to live in your sphere. Aside from my father, without a doubt, you are the greatest man in the world. Emmy and Timmy said it's about time mommy and daddy got engaged!!!"

Anthony De La Torre collaborated with a Vietnamese female-owned jewelry brand to design the ring for Lana and this gesture, the actress acknowledged her fiancé and appreciated by sharing, "The fact he knew how important it was to me that he'd collaborate with a Vietnamese company to help design my ring is a testament to just how truly thoughtful he always is. I cannot wait to be your wife, baby. I love you a million times over."

Anthony De La Torre also took to his social media to share the news and wrote, "I've wanted to do this for 6 years. The easiest decision I've ever made was to ask this angel to be my wife."

The couple met at an Emmy nominee reception in 2015 and Anthony approached Lana at the event but it was Lana who got his number and texted him a joke. In 2018, Lana Condor during an interview with US Weekly shared the cutest thing that her then-boyfriend now fiancé would do for her, "He writes me love letters, actually! He’s done that since we started dating and I keep them all. We try to keep the spark alive! He's the freaking best. He'll leave me little messages taped to my bathroom mirror on days I have to wake up early for work. He once picked up my favorite take-out food after work and served it up properly on our kitchen table, with little sticky notes attached to each plate saying how proud of me he is."

In 2019, for her cover story with Cosmopolitan, Lana shared that although the audience loved Noah Centineo and her couple in ‘To All The Boys I’ve Loved Before’ series, it was Anthony De La Torre she was with but after the movie was released, it impacted her relationship which was very hurtful to her. Lana said, "It was so hurtful for both of us. This is supposed to be a good thing. Why are you coming for someone who has no part of this story? If you say you support me, why would you hurt someone I love?" She shared that people would go to her account and post mean things on her pictures with her boyfriend and comment things like ‘where is Noah?’ or ‘Why are you cheating on Noah?’ The actress also added, “People are starting to understand that you’re not necessarily the person you play onscreen.”

In her interview with Teen Vogue, the actress explained the actual reason to go public with her relationship after keeping it off social media for years, “I love Noah with all my heart, but the switch was when people started attacking Anthony online. That was when I realized as much as I can show my love and my friendship to Noah … I can’t be that private with Anthony, because people are starting to be really hurtful to him. He’s been by my side through everything. He’s such an amazing person and has been an integral part of me staying literally sane.”

In 2020, the couple released their first single together ‘ Raining in London’, which is a part of Anthony’s EP, ‘Find Me'. Lana appreciated her man by posting a sweet message on her social media, "I couldn’t be more proud of him. Against so many odds, he’s made this EP come to life for you all to hear. It’s definitely playing on repeat all day for me! I love you, golden boy, thru and thru. The actress was asked about how she feels to watch her man kiss someone else (for a music video) to whom she said, "I can't really get mad at all. Listen, we're both actors and he's a musician and our job often entails making out with other people. He's seen me do it a lot. I've seen him do it."

For celebrating their fifth anniversary, the musician wrote, “From our tiny ass apartment with a blow up twin mattress to riding horses in Kenya, it has always been an adventure. Thank you for changing my life, inspiring me to grow and making everything worth it. I love you, my tiny burrito.” Whereas Lana wrote, “You are my best friend. You have taught me how to love and to be loved, to forgive and to grow, to never give up, to be each other’s teammate and cheerleader. You make me laugh like no other and it doesn’t matter where we are in the world, as long as I’m with you, I’m home.”

Lana Condor in her interview with People also opened up about her mental health struggles and credits Anthony De La Torre for always helping her. She said, "Obviously, my parents are my biggest supporters but Anthony is right there. He has really let me open up and made me feel comfortable talking about it. Because I really have not been very comfortable talking so openly about my mental health struggles, but he's been the person who's been like, 'Let's talk through this and there's no shame behind it. And if you choose to speak publicly about it, like I am with you.'"

Lana also added, "I was not a vulnerable person prior to meeting Anthony. It was very hard for me to talk about my emotions. It was very hard for me to be vulnerable. It was very hard for me to really open up in any kind of emotional way I think, prior to meeting Anthony, and he has helped me so much in creating a safe space where I feel I can actually talk about anything and everything that is going on in my head and in my body."

Congratulations to the couple!
