Armie Hammer’s accuser is not happy with ‘House of Hammer’.

The three-part documentary series "House of Hammer" premiered on Discovery Plus on September 2nd, which gave the audience an insight into the lives of Hammer men, including actor Armie Hammer and the sexual violence and abuse accusations that emerged against him, with two of his accusers sharing how things went down with the actor.

But now, one of the accusers, Effie, who reported the rape allegations against the actor and launched the LAPD investigation into him in March 2021, is upset about the documentary series. In a statement to the Los Angeles Times, Effie has said that the makers of the documentary, Elli Hakami, and Julian Hobbs, have disappointed her with their treatment of her.

Effie continued by saying that it is very wrong of them to take advantage of such a devastating, sensitive period in many people's life while showing absolutely no consideration for their privacy or healing. When she screamed no to the filmmakers, they kept insisting that they didn't need her consent, according to Effie, who went on to compare them to Armie Hammer. She claimed she is appalled by how the filmmakers used her trauma in their three-part documentary series.

Effie made her feelings about the new House of Hammer documentary clear, claiming that she did not agree to be in the three part document-series about Hammers, so she is not sure why the makers have been using her DMs to market it. She added that it should always be the survivor’s choice if and when and where to open up about their own trauma. Documentaries on someone else's rape and trauma shouldn't be made without the victim's permission. Their narrative is not anyone else's to tell and mentioned that the makers have acted in an abhorrent manner.

Since Effie is the only person with an active investigation against the actor, Julian Hobbs told the Los Angeles Times that they decided not to involve her in the matter, but added that they did not require her consent to include screenshots of the texts that Armie Hammer sent to Effie and which were made public in January 2021. The filmmaker claimed that although Effie has made it clear that she believes that creating any kind of media out of these incidents is rather problematic, they disagree with her assessment and believe that they must convey the tales.

Julian Hobbs continued and added that one would never create a movie if they stopped creating them because someone claimed they didn't want them done. The fact is, not everyone finds movies enjoyable. Having said that, he believes that what one needs to do is to be morally correct in how business is done. As a creative person, one must be inclusive, open-minded, and upfront about the film's developments.

In her earlier confession dated March 2021, Effie said that she initially connected with Armie Hammer on Facebook in 2016, when she was 20 years old. She said that now that she looked back, it was clear to her that he was using deceptive tactics to keep control over her up until the point where she began to lose herself. Effie continued that as Armie Hammer got more aggressive, he would frequently test her commitment to him by subtly removing and violating her limits. On one occasion, according to Effie, Armie Hammer "violently raped" her for many hours. He also allegedly battered her feet such they would pain with every step she made for the following week. After this accusation against the actor, the investigation was put in place.

The House of Effie circulated texts that had fantasies of rape and cannibalism. In House of Hammer, Hammer's ex-girlfriend Courtney Vucekovich, who claimed she lost her entire sense of self during their months-long relationship in 2020, details allegations of abusive behavior. Vucekovich said she checked into a rehab facility after their breakup. The actor's aunt, Casey Hammer, is also included in the documentary series. She recently went out about the abuse claims, which the actor has denied, and said she is not shocked by them given the history of her family.

Armie Hammer's attorney Andrew Brettler earlier provided Vanity Fair with the following statement that Armie Hammer's interactions with his former partners were all voluntary. They were mutually participative, extensively discussed, and decided upon in advance with his partners. The lurid tales that have been spread on social media were intended to hurt Armie Hammer, but it does not make them accurate.
